Great.  How many of the QBs in those statistical analyses run to contact the way Hurts does?  If the hit he took against the Lions had happened post-Tua, Hurts probably misses a game in the concussion protocol

All it takes is one play for a QB to miss significant time; the QB playing the role of power RB absolutely increases the risk.

And back to the original point, a QB sneak is not a significantly dangerous play. Tua was injured both times while in the pocket. You've moved the goal posts by expanding the point to include Hurts's running too much in which he is taking too many hits. No argument there.

They better play this game tonight. Starting around 6:30 should give them 3 hours of little to no rain.

But it isn't about an acute injury from the sneak.  For me it's about the total accumulation of hits his body is taking.  

By contrast, Brady was hardly ever touched... so much so that he was actually upset about the way he was sacked the other day by Jarrett.  

There is no data on what happens to a QB who takes this many hits in a season.  We know that a RB who hits 300 or 350 carries the effective drops off rapidly.  No QB has ever carried as much as Hurts current rate.  He's going to blow away the previous record.. by over 50 carries I think.

Still and all, go ahead Jalen. Break the records. Beat the stats. Prove the Doubters wrong On the Field.

He's not a QB destined for 15 yrs under center. Just my opinion, So go 200%. Give it your best shot.

However, let him play his game his way. Seems to have a handle on it so far...

We all benefit short term because he's Electric and currently quite cheap. Hard to Defend, growing before our eyes, recognized League -Wide  as a Real Threat. Roll, brother, we like watching you.
