July 30, 20251 yr I’d argue Duran might be our best closer (assuming he’s a closer) we’ve had since lidge/papelbon
July 30, 20251 yr The way I see it....give the Diamondbacks Miller and a couple lesser players for Suarez and let's go. Miller is going to be blocked here by Turner and Stott.....Play Suarez at 3B until Bohm comes back, and when Bohm is ready.....well then things will need to get creative (unless you are ok with Schwarber in LF which is just terrifying).

July 30, 20251 yr Traded Abel???? Granted i know nothing about players outside the Phillies so im assuming this dude is worth it
July 30, 20251 yr Man these balls off the white Sox bats are hard hit. Thankfully for Walker and us the ballpark is holding them.

Big price but definitely worth it considering they drafted Gage wood who likely slots in for Abel now. Plus Abel has had control issues previous years and even this year like you saw with the PhilliesThe biggest concern out of this trade is the Phillies have nothing in terms of prospects at the catcher position. So you definitely are going to have to re-sign Realmuto for at least two years.

We seen what he can do and he struggles with command so this isn’t a huge loss at all. Tait we don’t know yet could be another OHoppe or Pudge Rodríguez for all we know but not giving up our top prospect for a reliever is a win

He could also be the Bohm replacement after next year but, if I have to give him up for Suarez or another bat, I'll be good with it.

I’m surprised they didn’t draft one early cause i felt like Abel and Tait were not one of the top 3 but teams would want and we’d be willing to deal. There’s been rumors that Tait might eventually have to switch positions.
