He’s pitching against the angels. My choices are Monday is Nola, Tuesday is luzardo and Wednesday is painter… i almost want to see painter if he pitches like Saturday. But really Tuesday seems like the most logical choice

Thankfully, they won on Sunday. Because their hitting most of Sunday was awful outside of the ninth inning. Tonight outside of the first two winnings it was pretty terrible.

Fact we still use him in high leverage situations is amazing. He has a 5.24 era since mid June and the last 13 appearances a 9 era. We’ve all said this for a couple years now, he melts in high leverage situations.

McFarlane has shown promise and Kerkering we've seen countless times cave with any kind of pressure.

Next year they need to just completely blow up the bullpen besides Duran, Bowlan and McFarlane. We actually have some guys in the minors that can be decent bullpen guys over the next couple years. I’m surprised I didn’t fast track like Kerkering. Then again Kerkering blew up in their face cause he can’t handle high leverage situations so maybe they think they don’t wanna rush them.

It’s been overshadow cause bottom of the order has picked up the slack prior to the two games in Seattle. But can’t have him batting 2nd being this awful for this long. Furthermore the analytics showed he had been a much better hitter batting 1st for us as compared to 2nd. I brought this up when the discussion of hitting him leadoff and not schwarber. When he leads off he doesn’t seem to be trying to hit for as much power. He hits more HRs but he is also not seemingly going for it he has better at bats and approaches. When you move him to 2nd there’s a drop and it always feels like he’s trying for more power there.

This year alone over 150 ABs 1st and 2nd

1st: .257/.305

2nd: .204/.260
