Ohtani has been awful. I think he’s more hurt then they are saying. Imo wouldn’t be shocked if it started around when he stopped pitching and it got worse.I love it. Anyone but the Dodgers. I wouldn't mind Tampa losing after that. I'm still pissed at that city for the Lighting beating us back in the day along with the Bucs. I fly through that airport a few times a year and don't want to see that giant flamingo decorated with championship crap.

However i think they just don’t have the horses. It would be one of the more improbable titles if they do.However i think the brewers are taking this. I thought game 2 was a swing game in this series. If the dodgers won then i think dodgers take it. But brewers up 2-0, the dodgers are going to lose to misio again in game 5. Which essentially makes it 3-0 so basically have to win every other game against Milwaukee from now on. I really have a hard time seeing that.

Yesterday at 04:45 PM1 day I began until they fire Dave and move on from him, this team is gonna be stuck in a purgatory. He is so fortunate that in 2022 they got to the World Series. Because if they didn’t, you can make the argument, he wasted five years because of his incompetence on making decisions.

4 hours ago4 hr I've been searching for words since I saw that. Gross incompetence. Gross neglect of the fans. Just bleeping stupid. There is no reason.

You sold the last 2 homestands with playoff spot on the line. fans weren’t going in high capacity and bunch of empty seats. Some of that was weather. But some of that was the fan saw how bad this team was playing in September and decided it’s not worth it. Then you add the fact it is not a good free agent class. So there is not a lot of ways to ultimately boost your team enough to get them to being a contender. The two teams in the NLCS, destroyed the Phillies this year. And you don’t have the farm system to rely upon to bring guys up to get you some youth that you need. The only thing you have is your starting rotation, which at the lockout goes an entire year Wheeler might just retire and it’s not nearly as dominant as you thought it was going to be. then you add the lockout into this, which is likely gonna piss off a lot of the casual fans because it’s two sides that make a ton of money when people are struggling in this economy.

But I do believe if they get Skubal and add they will be better than last year. The frightening thing for the Phillies, they didn’t have a boatload of injuries. Keller was lost for the year and stunk before he got hurt. Wheeler missed a month. Luzardo missed 3 weeks. Harper and schwarber stayed relatively healthy. Like I don’t think you can expect the Phillies just to have the type of health they had this year. it barely got them to the playoffs. Phillies need an infusion of youth (not much coming up in terms of lineup.. miller and rincon) but also need a middle of the order RH and likely a 3B with Bohm gone and Arraez likely gone. As well as a complete revamp of the bullpen. I’d add it’s a bad FA class

So yeah - without any bullpen help and Turner still around we're still screwed for years to come LOL

Cause that’s about the only way that’s gonna happen. Because I’ll give you some amnesty contracts that you can get out of so that you can be cap compliant. Frankly, the worst thing that could’ve happened, if you want a cap is the fact that the rays, guardians and Brewers are all in the final four and one of them is likely to win a World Series. That said this would be only the second team outside of the top 10 payroll to win a World Series in the last 12 years.
