October 7Oct 7 Clearly the Brewers are doing something correctly on an organizational level if they can lose a Manager of the Year candidate in Counsell and then get better and better.

If the Phillies were above league avg with drafting and developing along with their spending then they’d be far better off

October 7Oct 7 This organization really deserves another decade of missing the playoffs for their arrogance and incompetence
October 7Oct 7 In and of itself, I don’t really care if Don Mattingly is the manager next year. But if he is…wow. Talk about horrendous optics. Just confirms that absolutely no one wants the job or believes in that personnel.

So that on top of the fact that he probably looked at the Phillies and what happened this year and said I don’t wanna touch that team. The only thing they have going for them is the rotation. a bunch of older guys in that everyday lineup and a bullpen that needs to be completely rebuilt. he was like I’d rather wait for a better job after I get done paid $7 million to do nothing in 2027.

October 7Oct 7 I think it would be funny as hell if Cora decided to take another manager job after all. Would love to see egg on both DD's and Middleton's arrogant faces.

October 8Oct 8 Baseball rant: I’ve never understood the "locker room celebrations” for making the playoffs, and then advancing. Each round. Like, seriously??!! EVERY ROUND??!!It’s so cheesy. Planned, staged, fake, not organic at all. They stand around the room, with their googles on, like, waiting to start dousing each other in beer/champagne when someone tells them it’s time to do it. So ghey. Just so stupid. "We made the playoffs!! Celebrating with champagne! We won 2 out of 3 games!! More champagne to pour over my head and yours!!”.//end rant….😬😊

There’s some others that have him ranked much higher like i posted a couple days or weeks back. Again, Luis Arraez was never fixing their issues and definitely was a desperate move that’s going to cost you a good prospects and wasn’t changing their fate. But on top of all that he’s not a cleanup hitter. Add on he was another left-handed hitter which frankly didn’t matter in the end cause Turner also sucked vs. LHP so they were getting a LHP in late games. And his style of hitting also does not play to the Phillies park. Everybody was like he will home runs look at the distance that he got in San Francisco and Miami. He isn’t a power hitter. He actually struggled more cause citizens Bank Park has one of the smallest outfields. He is much better in a more spacious outfield for his hitting style

No other sport does that.

Ohtani has been awful. I think he’s more hurt then they are saying. Imo wouldn’t be shocked if it started around when he stopped pitching and it got worse.
