Finally The marlins ruining someone else’s season besides the Phillies. Lol

Magic number 1.

Can the Phillies man up and win one against the Astros?  Can they do something to earn it?

Lol

Usually how you earn it is by playing 162 games and having at least the third best record after the division winners.

so yeah if they do that I’d say they earned it

and brewers have to lose to the dbacks too. if brewers sweep the dbacks and phillies lose all three, they are not going in the playoffs.

Don’t get your hopes up, your brewers are emotionally done after todays loss

actually it's you that's going to be miserable next year when they bring everyone back and you are going to be watching bad baseball again, so i really hope that getting embarrassed in the playoffs is worth it because not going to the playoffs will change everything.

I know.  I hope they can actually do it themselves for once instead of relying on the brewers to lose

Also facing Zach gallien on Tuesday. That’s brutal. There’s an argument he should be the cy young in the NL with how great he’s been. He’s 3rd in the NL in era, 1st in WHIP and 6th in Ks. Since July 1st he has a 1.83 era, 113 Ks to 23 BB and 8-1

In fairness there’s a chance they wouldn’t blow it up anyway and bring everyone back add turner and call up painter thinking that’s enough.

You’re crazy if you think they’re blowing this team up playoffs or not. Enjoy your misery.

If we’re looking for the team to really be a contender, pretty substantial changes are needed.  If we’re content with them making it as a wild card every year, then sure keep it together.

Big changes are extremely difficult when you have a bunch of high priced free agents. What they need to do is draft better and develop players better.

Agreed, but if they could find a way to get rid of nola and Hoskins I’d be on board with that.  Those two just do nothing when it matters most and it’s been proven year after year

Well, if Nola pitches well tomorrow they’ll be in the playoffs…
Hoskins is streaky, which honestly I find annoying.  He does have 30 homers this year though.  That’s not bad.

LOL METS

My reverse curse is working. One more.

Slow death

I don't expect it to happen but how great would it be if the Phillies win their wildcard round and the Mets lose theirs? 😄
