Umm is this entire thing just made up statistics and just a bunch of rambling nonsense?

last 10 years the Phillies are 74-95 against the Mets. Would be 21 games under .500

It’s closer the last 5 years as we are 35-39.

2015: 5-14

2016: 7-12

2017: 7-12

2018: 8-11

2019: 12-7

2020: 6-4

2021: 10-9

2022: 5-14

2023: 7-6

2024: 7-6

They’d have a better record vs. the Mets last 5 years if we weren’t god awful against them in 2022. But then again re-reading this is it’s just made up crap

There is this too

Pete Alonso's second-longest home run was a 471-foot shot in 2024, which he hit off Austin Gomber of the Rockies in the first inning. The home run was part of a five-hit, four-run opening inning for the Mets, who went on to win the game 9-1.

Alonso's longest home run was a 489-foot shot he hit in Minnesota during his rookie season in 2019.

Why would you come into this thread with a bunch of made up things about the Phillies and Mets?

Frankly I’d argue the Phillies have the more talented roster. But the Mets seemingly look like they are playing pretty loose and with house money. The concerning part is the last series with the Mets, they managed to win 3 games started by Nola, Ranger and wheeler. We really need to hit better with runners in scoring position then we did in the last 7 games vs. Mets. They were 14-54 (.259) but it’s kind of skewed cause one game they were 6-17 and the other 6 were 8-37 (.216). Imo have to win game 1 and 2. If you go back to citi field  down 0-2 you are likely done. If it’s 1-1 you gotta hope nola or ranger shows up big. Not sure i trust Ranger to with how he’s looked down the stretch since he got off IL

They may be the Phillies from 2 years ago.

Mets concern me

He's also the dude that says that stats are fabricated for certain teams to make them look better (I think) - like people can't just watch the games and see for themselves

Best part is I still can't tell if he's trolling, or retarded

I honestly don’t pay much attention to head to head records.  But when he said Pete Alonso has never hit a home run over 400 feet and Edwin Diaz has never struck out anyone looking I just assumed everything else was wrong too

It's a really weird schtick

Possible. I think the Phillies roster even 2 years ago had more talent than this Mets team. I think the Phillies underachieved in the regular season that year considering the talent they had and how bad they were to start and then nearly collapsing and being saved cause the brewers were worse. For the Mets i actually think they overachieved considering the talent they have

I'm going into these playoffs with zero expectations, TBH.  Wouldn't shock me at all to see the Mets win this series.

WS, NLCS, to NLDS seems like the logically backwards progression

Off-topic, but David Ortiz's July prediction of the Red Sox beating the Phillies in the World Series will not be coming true.

Senga pitching game 1 for the Mets.  It is indeed over.  They really are the team of destiny this year
