The bullpen is as streaky as the offense. Thomson needs to designate a closer. We got to watch the game with a family from Umea, Sweden. My wife’s family hosted a foreign exchange student in 1980, and my wife and her have stayed in touch all these years. It was cool watching the game with them and their three adult sons. They know a little about baseball and have been to a few games on previous visits, but still lots of questions. We plan on going over to visit then in Sweden in a few years.

October 7, 20242 yr I literally thought they were dead in the water down 3-0......this team honestly showed me something last night that gives me hope. They didn't give up! If this was the Eagles, they would have been booking tee times.

I thought that's why they brought in Estevez was to be the designated closer but Thomson seems to be hesitant. Strahm and Hoffman have proven they shouldn't be in that role. I think you have to go Estevez... not sure what Thomson is thinking.

I played baseball in Sweden for two years. Not a big sport but there is a niche level of interest. Let me know when you come over and we can hook up in Stockholm.
