Smashing both. I don’t even care that they’re Mets fans.

Yeah I’m pulling for whatever AL team makes it - unless it’s the Yankees.  Then I’m pulling for a catastrophic asteroid to end it all.

Literally every bullpen arm has given up runs this series.

Clown show.

A clown might be better thank bohm and marsh

Going to find out a lot about this team tomorrow. They’re either gonna roll over and die like cowards or they’re gonna come out with their season on the line and play well. If they roll over and die, then you need to make massive changes. Because they have gone out with a whimper against the diamondbacks the last two games, the Astros pretty much the last three games and then this series it would be the last two games. At some point in time you need a big time shake up.

I am not talking about just the high price guys. to me this is Brandon marsh you cannot trust. He can’t hit left-handed pitching. That is massive issue in the playoffs that you have to sit him because he can’t hit left-hand pitching. You don’t have guys to platoon with him that are good enough. And it is very hard to hope that two guys are good playing one position.

bohm I think they’ve already willing to move on from him. I think they look at it as this is probably the best you’re gonna get from him and he has all these pouting and negative anyics. I think they don’t wanna pay him in 2 years at 30 either. It took a lot of balls to bench bohm yesterday for a guy in Sosa who hasn’t played well in two months.

I think Stott is the only one that will bring back and confidently bring back. Because you don’t know exactly what he is yet. Because 2022 he struggling this first year. And then he had a great 2023. And then 2024 he kind of regress.  you need to find out what he is next year before Aiden Miller gets called up.

turner, harper, schwarber and castellanos are likely back unless Middleton is willing to eat last 2 years of Castellanos. Frankly Castellanos would be fine if he was hitting 6-7 in the lineup and you had a better cleanup hitter.

frankly realmuto is done. He’s in the last year of his deal. Probably getting him and Marchan next year. The year after you just have to hope Tait is ready to platoon with someone like Marchan then take over by 2027.

bullpen has been a disaster. They need to add arms. I think Hoffman is still good. But strahm is a 7th inning guy or a bridge from 6-7 to the 8th. Frankly think Kerkering is a head case. High leverage situations with more pressure he always implodes with 2 outs. Not sure that changes. Feels very Dominguez-esque the last 2 years of Dominguez. Estevez is fine if he’s gets a ok contract but they badly need a big time arm like a miller at the backend. They have nice pieces but not a guy like that.

rotation is likely fine if wheeler maintains this level and painter is what we think. Frankly Ranger needs to get his ass in shape so he can throw an entire year.

Of the 13 times Topper has made a bullpen call this series, the Mets have scored in 11 of them. Genius managing.

Game 1 is harder to blame him. That was all BP being garbage. He went Hoffman in the 8th then strahm following him and then Kerkering. All of them got destroyed. I’d have done the same thing with wheeler at 111 pitches and likely in that order. They just sucked.

games 2 and 3 topper needs to be blamed for his BP usage. Pulling Sanchez earlier then he need too. Then Ruiz in the 6th was idiotic. And then not going back to estevez after 8 pitches in the 8th inning. Today not pulling nola before Alonso after the first two guys got on. Frankly would’ve gone Hoffman. He’s our best BP arm and im going down with my best. and then going Ruiz at 4-0 is just ridiculously bad decisions. This is a terrible series for Alvarado. Mets have a ton of righties and he’s been awful against righties

He can’t invent good relievers

I posted above. game one I don’t know how anybody argues that is toppers fault. Those are the guys that got you here and your three best bullpen arms in that game. And at the right time too. That’s just not handling your Fing business. I can’t really blame topper for that one.

Games 2 and 3 I think he had some poor decisions. Frankly Ruiz should not have been brought into a game in either spot he was. That is a high leverage situation. He is not a high leverage pitcher. If you need mop up duty or your beating somebody’s ass, you bring him in. They need to quit with this he’s got great stuff so he can be there. He’s not. This is like what they thought Marte was going to be. marte still sucks. Just because you have good stuff does not mean you’re a high leverage pitcher. I thought it was a mistake to not have Estevez or Hoffman to go out for the 9th in game 2. In this game, he should’ve pulled Nola as soon as first and second no outs and not had him pitch to Alonso.  you could see kind of lost his location and command. Then again you brought Ruiz into a four run game. Go with Jeff Hoffman. He is your best reliever. One of those two situations he should’ve been out there. Keep it at two or keep it at four. Jeff Hoffman should’ve been used in this game.

don’t get me wrong. the bullpen has been a disaster. Topper has had some poor decisions on when to use guys in certain situations since game one. To be perfectly honest my order of blame right now is 1. Hitters 2. BP 3. Topper 4. SP

Hopefully they actually make some real changes this offseason.  Need more contact/high OBP guys, less home run or nothing.

I tend to think they need to move on from marsh, Bohm, realmuto. Probably stuck with Realmuto. Hard for me to blame Castellanos who’s hitting .385 this series. Yes his 6th inning at bat was atrocious but really he shouldn’t be hitting cleanup. If he’s batting 6th or even 5th he’s much better suited for it. To me they need a cleanup hitter who’s more consistent. Then can get away less consistency lower in the lineup.

fact of the matter is jt, marsh, Bohm and hays are a combined 1-32.

They’re throwing Hurts style quotes out now. It’s over.

Lol October Nola strikes again

Bohm is 1-10 this series on 19 pitches. He’s had 1 at bat where he’s seen over 2 pitches. Lol

JT’s quote after game 2 felt like a lot of BS they’ve said all year when they bust out then revert right back.

I don’t know if any stories will come out in the off-season. More of an eagles thing when things go poorly. But they went on that Rockies and giants road trip in the end of May and were never close to the same team. We can say they just peaked during that April and May but I think something happened in that locker room. And there was a story where I think it was, Matt Gelb said, Thomson went off on some guys in the locker room, particularly Soto. So I’m guessing there is more going on the what we know for them to play as mediocre as they have for a while now.

I think the Padres are the most complete team that’s left but the Dodgers might just slug their way to a World Series title. Because of the hitters they have they’re never out of a game. And they might just be able to score 8 to 10 runs enough in he course of a series to win a World Series even with pedestrian pitching.
