Whit back to .200

Kerkering is lucky outman sucks and just swing at pitch 1 and 3 cause that whole outing was bad.

feels like 4 runs isn’t going to be enough.

I was feeling negative that inning, thought lead was gone

These guys are dialed into Alvarado.

Man Alvarado has had really poor control in his last couple appearances. He’s missing the zone completely and when he does hit the zone it’s not at the spot where it’s supposed to be.

alvarado’s last 5 appearances

5 IP, 5 ERs, 7 hits, 1 walk and 3 Ks

Nice job in the field getting that out.  Both the throw and tag.

I'm done with Alvarado. Teams are teeing off on him left and right anymore.

Alvarado has become unreliable again

If ohtani gets another at bat, dodgers probably win

Yup. His last 5 appearances have been brutal

5 IP

5 ERs

7 Hits

1 Bb

3 Ks

Sosa is smooth.

I’m not worried about Alvarado yet, but he needs a reset.  When Ranger slips, I worry that he’s tired and has arm fatigue.  With Alvarado, I worry he’s got some subtle mechanical issues that may tipping pitches and eroding his control.  Teams shouldn’t be hammering his stuff like that.

Just kind of Phils like we are destined to see the Phils batting in the 9th.

Was listening to a podcast I want to say it was either the High Hopes or the one with Salisbury, but they said when Alvarado starts throwing high 90s and into the 100s, he doesn’t have control anymore. It’s just going all over the place. And when he doesn’t throw it as hard, he has better control, but it’s hittable as the movement isn’t as great. He needs to figure out his command cause if he’s throwing low and mid 90s he’s much more hittable. That inning looking at espn he hit 97+ 6 times. 5 were balls and the one strike he left in a sweet spot that went for a double
