What will we say about KC extra down?

Was it a factor?

I don’t know why everyone made a big deal about this. 1. The ref was running down the field waving it dead before the snap and 2. Cinci got a stop anyway. It didn’t lead to points.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Correct call.

But is it notable?  Both players are much much more tha just the color of their skin.

Not beast.  Beast is @Original Sin

Was it notable when Tony Dungy became the first black head coach to win a super bowl?

Quick observations. Not nearly as many 49ers fans at the game compared to Vikings fans five years ago. The energy wasn’t as electric as it was five years ago. We’re actually better than we were five years ago.

Oh, and we still haven’t played anybody yet, apparently. Beating a fourth string quarterback doesn’t count as an achievement.

Could this be the year that "people are people" and "players are players"?

The irony is that if you've ever played a sport, been in the military, been in a close nit sales team, church group, etc you would know that none of that stuff matters.  It's usually people on the "outside" that make an issue of it.  But your brother is your brother and your sister is your sister - no matter skin color, race, culture, creed, etc.  At the end of the day, it's that simple.

Well said.

That was 16 years ago. Either way its a topic that can get people to violate the rules of this specific channel.

It should probably be its own thread.

Love this team.

They dominate in a variety of ways.

And they are built to be relevant for a few more seasons.

Out of Hargrave, Bradberry, and Gardner-Johnson, they will re-sign two.

And they have draft capital.

The window is wide open.

I was going to give Brock Purdy a hard time for refusing to throw downfield or attempt to, but reading that he has a UCL injury in his elbow and if serious could mean Tommy John surgery ….. yeah, probably best he didn’t risk aggravating it.

Watching the replay of Kittle trying to go across the formation to have no chance to stop Reddick when he plants Johnson for his 2nd sack its the exact same stupidity that led to the Barnett strip sack in the 2017 NFCCG. Shanahan is a moron.

As I said before, that asshat showed them the wrong NFCCG this week. They would have learned more from 2017.

Yup. When the injury happened and they said it was his elbow then didn’t let him go back into the game until Johnson had a concussion, I had a feeling it had to be worse than what Josh Allen suffered. There’s no way they wouldn’t have put him back in there if it wasn’t that bad. Add on even when they were down a ton they still didn’t let him throw the ball further than like 3 or 4 yards. Which tells you there’s a chance it is really bad.

Was a perfect storm of bad for them.

Eagles aggressiveness was the difference

I’ll answer your question with a question … will either Mahones or Hurts be the first black QB to win a Super Bowl?

My son, who grew up going on Training Camp visits to Lehigh with me, gets an Eagles Super Bowl for his thirtieth birthday.  We are going to win it all.

Pretty sure that was Doug Williams for the Foreskins

Mahomes has also won a SB

If Mahomes can become the 1st black QB to win the SB in his 2nd SB win then I will really be impressed.

Unless you meant Steve Guttenberg from Police Academy.

The 49ers are a dirty team.  Wonder if that impacts DeMeco Ryans’ chance to be a HC.  29 should be fined even more than Williams.  57 for, stepping on Goedert”s stomach should also be fined.  A lot f dirty play.

Ryans will be the Texans coach in about 12 hours.

KC really got banged up tonight and was already banged up.  Is two weeks enough to,get healthy?

Maybe we get the unproven mahomes

In case anyone was wondering, we did NOT win the lottery for Super Bowl tickets.

They will be bruised and battered.

Would assume that bodes well for Philadelphia.
