For the betting guys here.  Why does it matter what the spread is right now?   From what I read on here, Chiefs were up 1.5 now the Eagles are 2.0.  Why does it matter 2 weeks out? It's going to continue to fluxuate.  Are there people losing sleep over the point spread changing by the minute?  So much I don't understand about the sports betting world.

Line started out Eagles +1.5 and now Chiefs -1.5. Basically early money bet heavy on the Eagles to move the line 3 points. I could see it going another point or so but probably not much movement this week.

I think both the Eagles and Chiefs have to play better than they did this week to win next week.  If KC puts up 23 points next week, that’s an L for them.  And if we can’t pass a bit better than this week, probably an L for us.

I'm not so sure... quite honestly, I think the plan should be (and likely will be) to keep Mahomes off the field, and to just run the ball down the Chiefs' throats.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles set an all-time record for team rushing in the Super Bowl.  I could see 40+ total carries... and well over 300 yards.

FO using their twitter chimps to make a softer departure for Sanders

Seems Gainwell's performance is helping to make the case all on its own.

Boy, some people have some sick cash.   $10K for lower level sideline at end zone.  $35K at lower level 50.  Phew!

They have been spinning that angle for a solid month already

You mean the 'Twitter chimps'?   I don't have Twitter and only see Tweets posted in here.  So, they don't influence my opinion.  Gainwell has played very well as of late.  It does make you wonder why he was blanked in the Saints game though.  Seemed a waste not to run him and Scott more in that game.  Coaches with a massive drop of the ball in that one.  Hopefully they don't have another brain fart like that for the SB.

I've been a Gainwell supporter for a while. I still question how he would do as the lead back, but he's good. I'm glad he's getting his chance.

Definitely making it easier when Miles leaves for a big FA contract after this season. Gainwell + Scott + Mid round RB should get it done next season.

Scott is a FA as well isn't he???

Gainwell has been running out of his mind the last two games.  Where has that been?  I've been really down on him but he's changing my mind.

Gainwell is very decisive with his running. Obviously he's not a big back, but he hits the hole fast and goes forward. Sanders likes to make cuts in the backfield, which allows faster LBs to get to him early, which we saw vs the whiners. I was not Gainwells biggest fan, but the last few games have shown me what the coaching staff sees in him.

Gainwell is just a better RB than Sanders, it is what it is.

Tip of the cap this morning to master tactician Kyle Shanahan, who had such a strong coaching edge he decided to scheme his TE to block maybe the best passrusher in the league 1 on 1 and clinch the win for the Eagles after 6 plays.

Also, how many current Eagles were drafted by AR?  Fletch, Kelce, BG?

Pretty wild there are guys from 3 coaches ago

Would like to keep Gainwell. Scott can go though. Sanders is a good player but I wouldn't pay him big dollars to stay

Don’t really get this. They didn’t just give away Jimmy G for nothing. They suffered and played in an improbable 4 QB injury season.  Not sure what else they should do.

They should’ve used a high draft pick for their 5th string QB! It’s so obvious!

@Allhaildawk is this what you meant by the blog is a shadow of its former self? @SkippyX regularly makes idiotic posts like that

I think the most sustainable way to dominate via running game is to build around the OL as the lead weapon.  Come at them with waves at RB so injuries can only hurt so much and so that there are always fresh legs.

SB!

But I do have this feeling that we won 13-7 over a toothless opponent rather than 31-7 given Smitty’s missed incompletion and how the penalties facilitated our scoring.

On the other side of the coin  Reddick would’ve been in Purdy’s face all day, Smitty’s hurry up call was a heady move, and the 9ers might of cheated us of a good offensive experience by coming in with a defensive gameplan that was reliant on mugging our receivers and chippiness that often crossed the border into outright dirty play.

I have a conspiracy theory that Siri and co have been keeping a lot close to the vest only to unleash it in the playoffs. I don't think it's a good long term strategy, but I feel they had so much confidence they were going to the playoffs that they could get away with some of these vanilla type offense game plans in the 2nd half.

I absolutely loved the goal line QB sneaks the Birds did towards the end. Just line up and smash them in the mouth. Whiners talked about how tough they were and that they felt they could outlast the Eagles. That didn't work out so well for them.

I think chiefs are the underdogs right now, not the favorites.

The Chiefs will be a big challenge because of the Mahomes factor; I fear the Bengals overall roster more.  Both teams would be a large challenge as it should be in the Super Bowl.  This Eagles team is good, has depth on the lines and a good talent level.  The Chiefs know they are in for a hard game

And Philly doing Philly things
