Go Birds podcast today saying Jalen should be the face of the league and I agree.  I think he will become that when the Eagles beat the Chiefs for the Super Bowl.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I would say based on having someone who could throw the ball, the 9er defense would not have worn down as they would not have been back on the field so quickly.  Just getting 1 or 2 first downs per drive could have changed the game.

Maybe. We just don't know. The stage could have been too big for him and he throws a couple of interceptions that turned into pick-sixes. There were a couple of them that Dallas should of had when they played them.

I just think that there was not enough evidence to say one way or another. I mean if he played an entire half and then got hurt, I could get behind this sentiment a bit better. But he only played one drive and had 2 completed passes.

Has there been any updates on any of the Chiefs injuries that happened on Sunday? They had a few people go down and not return right?

Was that based on the 3 pass attempts that he had?

I don't know why people keep saying this. We have no idea how things would have turned out if he stayed in the game. He did not play long enough for anyone to extrapolate out what he would have done. For all we know it could have been a bigger blowout.

Didn't feel like they lost much while Johnson was in.  He made some completions,  McCaffrey and Samuel were running hard with the ball in their hands.  Breaking tackles,  on a few occasions the last guy made the play before they broke one big.  Looked like typical 9ers to me.  Even with that,  they weren't close to spring on this D. It was a terrible match up for them and they didn't belong on the same field as this eagles team.

Johnson also got pummeled like Purdy would have.  There's no reason to expect anything different.

This is what someone who cares about a player before the team looks like

I want to see a flea flicker from the Eagles in the SB.  With all the angst over anticipating our RPO, I don’t think the Chiefs will be prepared for that.

Thanks for giving it away

No, it is my opinion was based on what I saw in the overall game plus what I’d seem from the 49ers leading up to it.

Another well deserved Pro Bowl nod.  Now the Ravens have two QBs who will each be demanding fully guaranteed $50M per season contract extensions.

I mean his stats were ridiculous. 2 td passs and 3 ints.

On the TV copy, Maddox was our best DB vs. The 49ers. He was everywhere. He's better in the slot than CGJ. Maddox just plays so hard that he's going to get hurt.

I hope we destroy kc. All I hear from everyone is excuses on why we won.

I just threw back at our niners fan at work their defense couldn't stop us with 3 8 min plus drives

Just when you think the pro bowl can't lose any more of its legitimacy.

It's not like there's no other QBs in the AFC to pick. Tua would make the most sense, even if he can't play in the game. At least give him the accolade for his performance over the year. Even Russell Wilson, Jacoby Brissett, Derek Carr, or Matt Ryan would have made more sense.

I hope we win. I hope we kick their ass. I hope some of these guys get to go out on top.

That said, it's going to hurt like hell to watch guys like Kelce, Graham, Cox, etc ride off into the sunset in the near future.

Who would’ve thought hall of famers…. Well Jason cause of the stache is a a possible mustache HOFer

Fellas, I’m a bit freaked out. I feel totally calm and confident about this game. Something must not be right as I’m usually scurred with respect to these big games.

As I was thinking about this myself, there is one reason why we can all be a little calmer going into a Super Bowl.

I still can't get over the non-catch by Smith.

  • Sirianni going for it on fourth down
  • Hurts extending the play
  • Smith's ability to reel the ball in
  • Smith's awareness of the catch to call for a quick snap
  • Shanahan not having the balls to challenge in the moment

But the most impressive was that the other ten guys are so well coached that they were able to line up and snap the ball thirty yards down field in 20 seconds.

The Eagles stole a TD because they are better at football than the Niners.
