Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I expect Reddick to play like Jefferson from Fast Times this weekend.

He is my early favorite to be Super Bowl MVP.  He is playing like a man possessed right now.

Reid replaced him with Dave Culley as WR coach.

Also, Doug was Andy's OC his first season at KC.

Unless his elbow was broken I think he planned to play no matter what.

Fellas, I’m a bit freaked out. I feel totally calm and confident about this game. Something must not be right as I’m usually scurred with respect to these big games.

It’s Tuesday the week before. In about 8 or 9 days you may start freaking out a bit.

They’ve somehow managed to dodge every single injury bullet this season with nothing being significantly long term or serious. We’re never going to see this again so hopefully they can take advantage of it for one more game.

Was listening to BWF podcast they said lane told them it felt like the complete opposite of 2017 where they were challenged a lot by having to overcome season ending injuries throughout the year and this year they’ve managed to avoid the significant season ending injuries except to Barnett.

Incredibly rare in this sport

Let's not discuss it again.  Bad Mojo and all.

I know it was mentioned when they were signed...

But if/when Graham, Suh, and Joseph are on the field at the same time, they are 3 of the top-50 picks in the 2010 draft...still playing...on the same team.

It's a good meme, though.  Maybe I'm just a petty person, but if I were Sirianni this would be a thing.

And really, no Barnett was a blessing

Oh i totally would use any and everything. To add fuel to the fire

CBS took a stab at comparing this team to the one that won it all in '17, but I found myself shaking my head quite a bit with their assessments.

They give the QB edge to Hurts, which I guess is fair because of the limited sample size of Foles, but seeing how well he played in the final two games, you can't just write that off. At best, this should be a push but I'd lean toward giving the edge to 2017 here.

They call RB even, which is hard to argue against. Very different styles of backs, and both had successes in their own right.

WR is clearly an edge to this team. No argument there.

They give 2017 an edge at TE, and I agree

They call OL a push, but I think this should be clearly an edge to this team. This might be the most shocking assessment of their whole piece. We've just been beating the pants off of everyone we've faced. It's not even close in my mind.

They give this team an edge at DT, but I think it's a push, or maybe even an edge to 2017. No discredit to Hargrave, but he's not as dominant as 2017 Cox was, and current day Cox is probably a push with 2017 Jernigan. These DTs have benefitted from the edge rushers far more than those 2017 DTs did.

For Edge rushers, obviously this team is on a whole other level. No argument there from anyone.

The gave the 207 the edge on LB, but I'm not sure on that one either. Bradham was immensely critical to a Jim Schwartz defense, but I really like the pairing of Edwards and White, so I'm thinking this is more of a push.

Obviously our current corners blow the 2017 corners out of the water. Who the F would even try to argue otherwise?

As for S, they gave the edge to the 2017 team, and while I love me some CJGJ, and am not as down on Epps as others, it's also hard to argue against the effectiveness of Jenkins and McCleod. That defense never was as effective once Malcolm left.

For ST, they somehow called this one even. Which is just... like... just no, dude. Just no. The 2017 team was clearly better there. Not sure what the hell they're watching.

And then finally, they called the 2017 team better coached but I lean more towards this being a push. I can see why they'd lean to 2017, but some of that is just because they won it all. If this team beats the Chiefs by 2 scores or more, then it really turns this argument on its face.

Obviously this line is better, but are they weighing that it was multiple backups vs all 5 starters ??

I still can't get over the non-catch by Smith.

  • Sirianni going for it on fourth down
  • Hurts extending the play
  • Smith's ability to reel the ball in
  • Smith's awareness of the catch to call for a quick snap
  • Shanahan not having the balls to challenge in the moment

But the most impressive was that the other ten guys are so well coached that they were able to line up and snap the ball thirty yards down field in 20 seconds.

The Eagles stole a TD because they are better at football than the Niners.

since the 9ers didn't challenge , it's a catch , nuff said football 101

I’d argue our current TEs are better.

They listed the starters for the Super Bowl, so JP was not part of the consideration:

OL

2017: Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Stefen Wisniewski, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson
2022: Jordan MailataIsaac Seumalo, Jason Kelce, Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson

Its funny to me that reddick was picked one pick above Barnett in the draft. He was supposed to be someone we should have drafted. Now if we can get somehow Jefferson life will be good 🙂

IMO only brooks was the better RG in the line ups
