I personally have no ill feelings toward Andy. Obviously I want to win the Super Bowl instead of him but I always look back at his time here with happy memories for the most part.

COY usually doesn't win the super bowl for some reason

Between 1998-and 2005- I thought the world of AR.....  Between 2005 and 2009 I was souring with his lack of committment to the run, mistakes in big games, inability to win a SB....

And after the Giants won their second SB against the Pats during AR's tenure- (in the same span he had us in 5 NFCCG, 4 loses and 1 SB loss to the same Pats) I wanted the fat guy gone.  I really wanted him gone.

Now that he is gone- I have no animosity- but I also do not look back with reverance to he and McNabb- because they both fell short- maybe thats unfair- but I between 1998-2005 I thought so highly of both of those, that I really believed he and McNabb would win a SB. But then reality set in. And so I look back knowing they both were good here- neither was GREAT while they were here. Ar has learned and gotten better since he left- he needed to leave.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Celek when he was younger was just as good, if not actually slightly better than Goedert is right now.

Wow. I can’t believe someone would even suggest this. Not only do I disagree, but I think it’s actually a laughable assertion. Goedert is massively better than Celek, who I always liked, and pretty much was from the day he showed up.

I am pretty sure Chris Jones would wreck that play, and as the audio says " I am pretty sure we will never see an NFL team try this "

Of course, he would. I am not being serious here.

For a play like this to maybe, MAYBE work, you would have to bring in 6 OL and when Kelce snaps it and steps back, the guards on either side would have to crash in. It would maybe work if the DT is not over-center. Too many variables for it to be worth it.

Brent Celek's best season

76 for 971 yards and 8 TD's

Goedert career highs

58 for 830 and 5 TD's

If anyone is coming out to AZ for the game and has any logistical questions or looking for recommendations, I live out here so let me know if you have any questions. I know we have a few AZ posters in here.

Dang, my family and I are still debating coming out from NM for the game.  It's not really the money itself that is stopping us but rather the hassle of traveling, traffic, restaurants packed, huge amounts of people.

Just don't know that it is worth spending $10k per person to deal with that stress.  Also, I am not the biggest fan of Phoenix and that stadium.

That being said, you never know if we will get a chance to watch the Eagles live in the Superbowl.  Tough decision  but I think are leaning towards all everybody getting together and throwing a sick party

There's something (or someone) holding Goedert back...

I didn't say him specifically, but a whole bunch of folks.  Regardless, it was all the rage when it was built, and common knowledge for football fans.

All the rage? Again, I doubt more than 25% of the 50 million viewers Sunday have any idea when the stadium was built, much less details about it.

Did you know the field in Arizona rolls out on a track in the open sun?

I always thought Arizona played in a dome

Well, you may be shocked to know, that with fantasy football and so many ways to see all the games, people know things about other teams, players and stadiums.

When they show the players at the beginning of games and then say their name and school, I can probably name about 80% of the college they played for.

Stay in Tucson and make the drive up on game day. It’ll be way cheaper. Get hotels in the foothills or the ritz at dove mountain which is a closer drive to Phoenix then in the city. and you get better Mexican restaurants down here.

I always liked Celek a lot, but yeah -- Goedert is a top 5 NFL TE who would be top 2-3 if he was the focal point of the team's offense.  (If he could stay healthy, of course)

Florida State.  I learned that when he spent 30 seconds on the Eagles roster.

Schefter is making it sound much more like a done deal

After everything I have heard locally about the Hawks and Russ split, and Russ wanting to do it his way, not sure if this is the best mix of coach and QB.

Sounds great to me. Let the hilarity ensue.

Broncos nation, lets ride.

I think goedert is more athletic than celek, Andy also always featured TEs in his offenses and still does so Celek was a beneficiary of that.

Celek was a really good blocker but so is Goedert.

I loved Celek as a player he was fun to watch run over dudes but I think goedert is better as well.

Hopefully he lasts for more than one year

If they can get Russ right, that’s a pretty talented squad with a historical head coach. Too bad freak show is also in that division so it doesn’t even matter.
