I do not want to see Brandon Graham play in another jersey.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Not going to lie... that hurts a little

He also stayed on the field the longest of any player after the NFCCG win. He was something like 10 or 15 mins later than the last closest guy.

Do the Fletcher Cox thing. Cut him and designate it a Post June 1st, sign him to a new deal with void years.

I'm not a fan of it, but they could.

Would be 8 to 9 million dead, plus the new contract.  Not sure that we have the resources with all the other free agents.

Listening to WIP right now, they seem to think he will play somewhere else next year.

I just watched one of those Eagles podcast type shows on YouTube where Ray Didinger was a guest.  It was the "show" with Derrick Gunn, Barrett Brooks, and Rob Ellis.  Ray mentioned that Peter King had spoken with Hurts after the Giants game and that Hurts said the early pass to Smith was the furthest he had thrown the ball since the Bears game and that he wasn't sure he could throw it that far.  Hopefully the two weeks will help.

I could see him playing in Detroit or something. He'd be a good vet for them to pick up and he'd fit their culture. Plus it's close to home for him.

Also some similar language in Kelces deal.  Have an email out to find out if anyone knows ballpark what these guarantees are.

Quote

Jason Kelce signed a one year, $14 million contract with the Eagles. $14 million is guaranteed including a $10.13 million signing bonus. The 2023 season is a placeholder in the event that Kelce retires or is released. He has a $2.75 million roster bonus that is guaranteed that year. If on the roster after June 2nd of 2023 a large guarantee kicks in for 2024.

One of them is like $40M base or something. Might be Cox.

They could.  My point was that the 'innocent until proven guilty' piece isn't relevant.  The Eagles can do whatever they want with him.  And if they cut him, what have they really lost?

It’s relevant if the team also believes in innocent until proven guilty. That’s all.

Been conversing with OTC guy this morning.  He is gonna let me know what he finds out.

He did say from what he understands, at best we can only bring back 1 of Cox, Graham and Kelce.

DeSean Jackson was released and he wasn't charged with anything.

I don’t think these are the same. I think Chip used it as an excuse to cut a player he didn’t want.

Chip Kelly used ESP to leak "Gang ties" when that was BS

Josh Huff was arrested on Nov. 1st, and was cut Nov. 3rd.  The 'innocent until proven guilty' stance didn't do much for him.

Tommy Johngate

I was just about to say there seems to be conflicting reports about the severity of his injury and timeline for return.

They're probably screwed with either and will most likely have to bring in a vet so their SB roster doesn't go to waste.

Brandon Graham is such a unique career. His first 6 seasons he was an underachiever. I don’t think he started until 2015? That was when he almost signed with the Giants and we just signed him out of necessity.

The earlier report was just some random Dr that didn't even see him or anything besides the video of him playing. I think it's going to end up like Bryce Harper, they are hoping it doesn't require Tommy John but they don't really know for sure until they get in there.

Daryl Worley too. But both presumably had much more evidence.

Robert Quinn 5 sack game for the Superbowl!

It's not like they haven't cut players in this situation before.  Maybe they feel like there's some due diligence they haven't been able to complete.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 26

Chiefs 23

Haason Reddick with 3+ sacks, a turnover, havoc, and Super Bowl MVP

The indictment indicates there's a certain level of evidence.  The indictment document mentions some of it.
