Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Eagles Twitter follows the Blog

Just got my black one. Guess that lowers my seed in the racist bracket, but in reality, the green ones look quite disgusting!

I did this to my wife’s office when I was hungover awhile back after I saw the meme.

What the hell did Brandon do to get fined more than Trent?

The NFL makes zero sense with how they levy fines.

The question no one has really asked is:   Who do the Eagles have in the pipeline to take over for Stoutland?  He's not going to be here forever.  It would be nice to get an apprentice in place... or just clone him and down load his mind into the clone.

Sounds ominous.  What you got

I feel like this question would have made sense before his extension.  He obviously doesn’t want to go anywhere else at this point.  So I view it as he will be here forever, and I am forever thankful for it.

Kevin Harlan is a great radio announcer. Aside from the Philly Special, and BG's strip sack, I hadn't heard his calls on the game's other big plays. If you haven't heard it before either, enjoy.

Would it be that difficult to have Harlan do the SB on TV?  He's the kind of voice and excitement you need for the biggest game of the year.

A few random thoughts.

-If Seumalo is gone and money is tight....could we see Kelce back another year with Jurgens at RG?  He isn't big by any means but you'd have maulers on the left and athletic on the right.

-Have we seen the RB wheel route this year at all?  Seeing Clement with the 50 yarder makes me think that would be a great Gainwell play.

-The 4th down completion to Ertz was the play of the game.  They don't win if they don't make that.  Terrific job from Foles to avoid the pressure and make an awkward throw and then a great job by Ertz to extend, hang on to the ball and get the 1st.  So much attention goes to The Philly Special or BG's strip sack, but that 4th down play won the game.

-I really feel like the Patriots could have controlled the whole game and won easily had they fed Gronkowski the entire game.  It seemed they didn't target him until the 2nd half and when they finally did, the Eagles didn't have an answer.

An assumption on my part, but I'd think he'd have to be under contract to the network televising the game. I'd be in favor of having him on.

What's the price? Fifty twice.

How you feel? F'n nice!

Super Bowl Sunday is also Abe Lincoln's birthday. The Eagles play at Lincoln Financial Field.

I'm just curious... for no specific reason, but how many people still have DVD players? How many have Blu Ray players?

I got rid of my DVD player and never got a Blu Ray player. I prefer digital media over having a ton of physical discs.

The only DVD that I still have though is a certain Super Bowl DVD with multiple audio streams. I will never get rid of that even though I translated it to digital and stored it.

Five years later and I am still very grateful to have it!

Thank you.

Everything he says is stupid. I'm trashed already. I'm a 12 pack of zombie dust and half a bottle of blanton's in already. Acting like the SB is tomorrow. I'm planning a prank on my neighbor

I like the way you roll, you son of a b****

What's the prank?

Interesting scenario. If they draft young, Levis or stroud I’m guessing they let them sit for a year or two.

It was this time five years ago I was tipping over the line from cheerful to drunk watching the Super Bowl here in Ireland. I can’t remember who the half time show was and I probably didn’t watch much of it.

Am I to take from that that you still have the physical copies ? I mean I’ve a F tonne of CDs that are great to have but iTunes has decided that you can’t transfer them easily.

If that’s not a sign I don’t know what is.

Yes.  As long as your account isn't in the red, i.e., you have some green in the account, then you can get a gold check mark through Twitter Blue.

Only thing is Jimmy G might last like 8, 9 games before he gets hurt.

Whoever they draft, let them play, let them take their lumps and grow on the field.  Texans probably won't be good for at least a couple years.

Interesting comment on CowboysZone.com

Quote

The Eagles will create necessary cap space this offseason, they have two #1 picks, they are the clear favorite in both the division and conference heading into 2023. They have been one of the most dominant NFC teams over the last 20 years while we have been a bottom feeder when you look at playoff success.

We can't hold their jocks at this point.

And expecting the Cowboys and the Jones goobers to be motivated by what Philly did this year is folly. Pure folly. They will do what they always do. Bargain freaking shop in FA and tell everyone the draft will fix their problems.

That's how you always end up with a decent team but never a great one. Howie Roseman is the best GM in football (along with Lynch in San Fran) and he runs circles around the oil tycoon trying to be a NFL GM.
