PS we just got the Madden sim. Their score prediction is close to what I felt this morning.

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/ea-madden-game-predicted-correct-164406452.html

Ironically, the simulation has the Eagles scoring 2 PASSING TDs in the 3rd, lol.  So we can throw that simulation out the window.

31-17

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

How many of you people, will kill yourselves when the eagles lose

Why are you here? You got banned but still hang around with this clone account hoping someone will give you attention? How enthralling that must be.

Let him be. He has no friends in real life and the Ambien hasn’t kicked in yet.

Is this the week Robert Quinn decides to make a play?

Maybe a recovered fumble from a BG strip sack a la Barnett?

How's this for a flex on NY.

Boston Scott scores 3 TDs and gets the MVP while the Empire State Building lights up NYC in green.

(not a prediction, just a hilarious scenario)

Does anyone here have PFF plus? Or can tell me how many run snaps vs how many pass snaps Brandon Graham has played?

Brady Quinn was better at NFL QB than Michael Irvin is in front of a camera. Everything is about him instead of the topic or subject. He makes everything he is on completely unwatchable. He's actually a decent interview (like when he calls in to WIP) but when he has the mic he thinks he has to be this loud obnoxious clown

Bad take. Irvin is great on TV.  Very funny and entertaining.

One year of CJGJ was easily worth it.

Howie needs to keep calling the Saints.

183 against the run

323 against the pass

I would strongly consider not even giving Quinn a snap. I don't know at what point he played against the 49ers, but considering he only played 6 snaps total and they pulled starters in the 4th, I'm guessing that was their initial plan.

So my wife was picking up my daughter at daycare today and noticed a man in an Eagles hoodie. They made small talk about the Super Bowl and how their kids will be wearing Eagles gear all week. He casually mentioned that he still has a bunch of Eagles clothes for his kids from when he played. My wife replied, "You used to play?” "Well, I didn’t really play,” he said. Turns out it was Julian Vandervelde.

Philly fans who have seen what, 13 losses in the finals since 1980 can't take the 14th in the unlikely event it happens?

Yeah, that's the rap on us Philadelphians, too soft. 👀

Actual Philly fans after a finals loss:

Everyone predicting the Eagles win, even the blowouts, knows that they could lose.

The Chiefs are the perfect example. They lost to the Colts and went to OT vs the Texans. Those teams did not belong on the field with KC, but they had very good days and the Chiefs were off. Being the better team is not a free win.

I'm still trying to figure out what the dude was foaming at the mouth about the Saints for.

2018 when the Eagles were at the 20 to take the lead and Alshon gave the ball to Lattimore?

2013 when Riley Cooper dropped a 50+ yard catch and run that 10 out of 10 high school punters catch?

Yeah, you sure showed us! We had no chance vs those Saints juggernauts! 💩

Self Awareness Check.

You do know that you see the world much different than other people do, right?

I’ll defer to you on skill and potential as I don’t watch nearly as much CFB as I’d like to. The one thing I would say is that by the money, OTs are likely paid better than edge rushers.

Edge rushers had their own category but interior lineman were lumped in with OTs and they were still within 2.2 million in average salary. So I think you’d find teams quite literally value OTs greater than they do edge rushers.

I would also say that OL tend to be safer picks than DL in the grand scheme of things. It’s pretty rare for an OT taken in the top 20 to be an outright bust, so a GM may look at it as less risky even if the player himself is raw.

Just some thoughts. Could be totally wrong.

I think you are right, but more splash plays come from Edge players than from OTs … unless you are O-line connoisseurs like Philadelphia fans are.  However, even with that bias, the reaction of Eagles fans to Hassan Reddick is illustrative.

Regarding the Orlovsky numbers I suspect that 7 of the 10 OL are OTs rather than IOL.  So the number is probably pretty good for OTs, but not so good for IOL.

Lol

Just taking a quick look at top OT salaries and top OG salaries, I’d say you’re correct.  Tackles are about 10-15% higher paid of those positions

I like it.

I thought he was fine, asked decent questions, had a good back and forth with our players in a respectable & complimentary manner. I don't have any complaints.

Good

plenty of time to celebrate after

Someone from PFF was on WIP to discuss the game. They were asked why the Eagles should be most confident and what should concern fans about the Eagles.

For concern he said he can't get over how easily Prescott had his way with the defense vs Dallas and if the Eagles don't get pressure, Mahomes will pick apart a zone defense.

For confident he said what we've all been saying all year. The Eagles are just so diverse they can beat you in so many ways, if you try and take away one area, they can just beat you in another area.

I do want to see how Gannon prepares for a game against this kind of QB and coach and if he's willing to adjust quickly if Mahomes is picking them apart.

Since no one wanted to give me an actual update on Hurts’ shoulder, I looked into it. From what I can see, it looks fine. I just hope it sobers up before the game.
