Name your favorite show, and then ask yourself if it will still be syndicated and broadcast on multiple channels every single day in the year 2048.

So Seinfeld loses to Friends in the syndication money wars and pass on both. I can watch either and recognize that they are built well, but they will never be my favorite. In the end, "best" is a matter of perspective.

Thank God for Ginger and Mary Ann; those scripts were insufferable.  Loved Jim Backus as Mr. Magoo, though:

I've never even heard of this show Psych that has been referenced the last few pages.  Probably because it sucks.

Since we are in the topic of comedies, i think it’s time they redo weekend at Bernie’s. It’s been over 30 years now.

didn't you watch the State of the Union?

You’re all wrong. Greatest TV show ever aired once on NBC on February 4th 2018 between the hours of 6:30 and 10:30 PM EST. Best thing I ever saw on TV. It was Super to say the least.

I'm sure like many of you you've been listening to a ton of podcasts, videos, etc. but one stat stood out to me.

We're bottom 5 in balls batted down by the DL. Given how often opponents play quick game against us, you'd think we'd get more PBU from the DL simply by getting hands up.

That's for the slow guys to do.  Our guys are fast and bat the QB instead.

If your feet are in the air, you aren't going forward. Our DL gets up field.

And honestly, I'd be willing to bet the difference in batted balls from top 5 to bottom 5 isn't very much. How many balls do teams bat per year?

Depending on the replacement moves we make this offseason, that could be another third rounder in 2024. I have a feeling TJ Edwards will get a big FA deal too, he could net us a 4th

Funny you say that, I was thinking a few months ago whether or not dragging around an unreported dead body in comedic fashion would be as welcomed in 2023 as it was in 1989

Death at a Funeral is a priceless comedy … as is A Private Function

The kind of movies shown at either the Narberth Theater or the Bala Theater.

I really think the smart thing to do is bring Bradberry back on a 3-year deal and trade Slay.  You're the cap guru...am I wrong in the way I look at Slay's contract and how much it jumps up?  Looks like his salary bumps to $26 million next year.  Wouldn't it be wise to trade the older of the two and then use the money on bringing Bradberry back?

It would have to be a Jordan Hicks like deal Arizona gave him. Had a $9M APY back in 2018. Now I'd guess it would have to be north of $11M APY.

Slay if traded pre June 1st

22.4 dead

3.7 saved

Bradberry's deal will be more than 3.7 million in year 1, so you are in essence paying Slay's cap hit plus for Bradberry, and then still having to find CB 2.

Also, how much are you getting back in a trade for a 32 year old corner that the receiving team is taking on a 17 million base salary for ??

Yeah, the ILB franchise tag jumped enormously after the Roquan Smith deal, it’s now over 20m$ which is insane. That will heavily influence FA contracts. something like 13m$ is not out of the question, which is now a competitive offer for a not-quite-pro-bowl player at that position.

So what we're looking at will most likely be a restructure and extension of 32 year old corner?

Not really, Slay's contract has a ton of dead money tied into it. It would probably make the most sense to restructure him again and tack on a dummy year to post 6/1 release him in 2024.

I hope not.  Already has 13.8 million dead on the books once he is gone.
