Going to stick with what I've been feeling and what all research leads to

KC is 18th in rushing yards per carry allowed, led the league in TD passes allowed, and was 28th in passer rating allowed. They don't have the horses.

They limped through the playoffs against 2 unimpressive teams.  Cincy had a great year but then lost their O-line.

37-17 Eagles win

Bonus: 180+ team rushing yards and Hurts with 3 total TDs.

Guess we agree on something this weekend. That's almost mine exactly from earlier in the week.

    Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Not gonna read it because I lived through it and it was devastating. We had all seen the Colts split town to head to Indianapolis, and here it was, our beloved team was gonna leave too. Just think how you’d react if the same thing happened today. Sure, you can say we’re blowing it out of proportion, that it wasn’t a big deal since after all, the Eagles didn’t move. But in the moment, they were as good as gone. Leonard Tose’s daughter had already enrolled her kid in school out there. It was a miracle the move didn’t happen.

Here’s an anecdote I like to tell. I was so torn up inside about the Eagles move that I actually got sick one night during dinner at home. Went to the bathroom to hurl, completely out of the blue. All I could taste was French dressing. Since that day, I’ve never used French dressing. It’s too much of an emotional trigger for me. Not that I worry it’d make me hurl, but it’s such a bad memory that I wouldn’t want to bring it back.

Well, my story isn’t as eagles related, but when I was in high school, I had a bunch of screwdrivers to drink. And I got alcohol poisoning. rationally I blamed the orange juice for 6 years and didn’t drink orange juice again until I got to 23 years old.

If that would have happened, we’d very likely be the Philadelphia Jaguars right now. We definitely get 1 of those 2 expension teams, and Charlotte is not the city that would miss out.

EDIT: even bigger possibility is the Philadelphia Rams. That happened around ‘95 as well. No way they choose STL over the 4th largest market in the US

@LeanMeanGM

Here we go. Time is now. Static ignored. Focus paramount. Nick has their heads in a good place. This about each man doing his job in concert with his team mates. All the work has been put in til now. We earned the slot right up front. Team is healthy, ready to rock. Lane says hold my beer (that's a scary thought).

As with most informed input, I agree this is won or lost at the Line of Scrimmage. If we can show up early running right at em, get in their faces and be effective, we will own the clock and the trenches. I expect Jones to get the Bosa treatment, exhausted and frustrated after 2 qtrs. Same for Fred. "Who do I cover, who has the ball", ending up irrelevant most of the time. Isolate and confuse.

I want a seriously strong running attack early to bring the safeties down or make em go single high, at least. Spags will react to that.

Won't matter though, Kelce throwing blocks 25 yds downfield is hard to defend when it gets that far, and it will.

Mailata will handle Jones when they line him up over there. May get beat on a speed rush once or twice but the bull rush ain't gonna fly. Trust in Stout to make any adjustments needed.

My take since knowing the Chiefs were the guys that were going to catch our fire was that we just need to limit chunk plays and tackle.

Secondary will hold up fine, may lose a scramble drill here and there. Pressure up the middle, edge contain, play the receiver.

Offense, short story. Run, Run, Throw at the young corners, Joe Dirt beating up the middle as Ward tries to figure out what's happening to him. No mystery here, we will score on these guys.

Overall, KC out muscled, out classed, outplayed, out coached. Andy good for a bonehead decision or two. Failed trick play? Clock?

I'm all Green on this one, chess match early, Eagles Flex, KC playing catchup from there on out. They're in our way.

Not as close as it seems, KC late desperation TD, falling short of a comeback...

Give me:

Eagles    33

KC          27

Bonus: Riddick for a Safety.

Extra Bonus for Fun...Graham another Super Bowl Strip Sack.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 38

Chiefs 29

Eagles set Super Bowl record with over 280 team rushing yards.

Love to hear it though. Hopefully we beat out KC fans there.

1995 was a decade later. That would not have been tenable. It’s plausible the Cardinals would have moved here from St. Louis, but would any of us really want the Bidwill family owning the Philadelphia Cardinals for the past forty years? That’s just gross.

Holy ish a second Lombardi would be incredible, considering most of us wondered if we’d ever see one.

Get this one and it becomes time to get greedy for more and more.

I honestly worried I'd ever see one, let alone two. Thank you Saint Nick.

The Phoenix eagles just sounds wrong, not sure if id be an eagles fan if they had moved🤷‍♂️ I was just a little in Utah in 84 didn't even know what football was.

Glad it worked out the way it did.

As for French dressing you're not missing much🤢

And if they do indeed pull this off, it would be one of the most incredible stories in sports for Hurts.

Guys, we got a Super Bowl tomorrow!  Just follow the rules and chill the F out.  Go yell at each other in RnR :lol:  Hopefully we'll be celebrating a win tomorrow night.  I will say as a new mod, there's stuff you don't see because the offending posts get hidden so maybe that's some of the confusion.  Don't @ me I'm logging off to start drinking!

@LeanMeanGM

Birds 27

Chiefs 24

Elliott game winner.

Hurts MVP accounting for all 3 tds.

Side note...

"Give it up, ya'll" should be retired, especially when used by female "entertainers" talking about football players...

@Moderator4 newb security always buys first round for the EMB.

@LeanMeanGM

This will be a great game, my expectations of disappointment still exist (we're Philly fans, it's ingrained into our souls) but the matchup is good

Eagles 27 chiefs 23

Bonus: no defensive turnovers for the birds, but they'll drop a couple INTs

Its hilarious how butthurt everyone else gets when you say Philly floods the road games like no other and Philly is loud in the playoffs like no other.

but, but, KC will be there in droves... maybe half a drove?

Don't see much conflict up front, seems pretty amicable, actually.

Welcome to the New job. Tread lightly, wield a balanced stick...:P

@Doc S. I could watch those 4 minutes on a loop from Foles yelling Strip 'em Strip 'em on the sidelines to Graham going out and then 2 plays later he strips 'em.

So much about that game was magical.

Here’s the problem new guy…the rules are as clear as mud. A number of posters are seemingly allowed to throw around insults (there’s been a number of them in here today trashing the two guys who got booted). When another group does the same they’re suspended/banned.

Yet another group was allowed to openly race bait, by a mod saying it was ok!

So for all those saying follow the rules….what are the rules? What rule did 4x4 break this time to get heaved?

We have mod 12 who wasn’t active for a long time suddenly spring to life and ban a long time poster right before the Super Bowl with a very nebulous reason of "enough is enough”. No chance for an appeal, no discussion of it other than tough. From what I can gather, it comes down to a number of you being thrown off by a stupid emoji. Just think about that for a second. Ridiculous.

Go birds.
