If I were to tell you to get bent that could  also be considered a request no?

Words have meaning beyond what one attempts to attribute to them and I've become pretty good over the years at reading between the lines.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Is it against the rules to call out mods? Yes. Am I right on that line? I am. I am aware of that. Is mike leveraging that by tagging mods on my posts last night and today? Absolutely. Apparently Mike is a big trouble maker. Now we know.

I can attest from personal experience that calling out the Mods can, and does, result in a suspension.  In my case a month’s suspension.  The Mods even acknowledged that I was right/correct in the issue that I was raising, but that didn’t change the suspension or its duration.  I was comfortable that what I was saying … the complaint I was voicing ::: needed to be heard.  Indeed the policy decision I was protesting was reversed in time, but the suspension was served in its entirety.

Well, my story isn’t as eagles related, but when I was in high school, I had a bunch of screwdrivers to drink. And I got alcohol poisoning. rationally I blamed the orange juice for 6 years and didn’t drink orange juice again until I got to 23 years old.

I passed out at about 19 on Jack. Woke with my face stuck to a table and an ashtray directly next to my face. Hurled sideways without unsticking my face.  Couldn't smell Jack until my 30s without significant retching.  An Irish miracle that I can drink whiskey at all after that.

Let me know if you want to hear my Bushmills, Beef jerky Vegas story. It isn't pretty. STILL can't eat beef jerky and that was 25 YEARS ago.  But can drink Bushmills, ironically.

Cowboys in Dallas at AT&T?  Right?

Remember trying to clean out the coal bin in my grandma’s basement. We actually threw away the clothes we wore. That dust permeates everything.  We never completely succeeded. I was a kid, helping my Dad.  As an adult, I would have put up some waterproofing plastic, insulated the floorboards overhead and walled and sheetrocked it while sealing the floor.  Good luck with that.

I shop vacced every inch of he floor, and the shelves we have down there. Mrs HE wiped every item with rags. Its just about done, as good as its gonna get. The exposed layer of insulation in the ceiling is gray instead of pink. But, Im not going to rip layers of insulation away.

Its at least to the point where, you can walk in there without steeping on the grit of the coal and ash dust and tracking that through the house. And you can touch something without turning your hand black. You can go in there, and not get dirty.

So now, we just have to move a bunch of other junk around to clear out the finished side so we can begin to set that up. Im sure, that will need a good vaccuum, and the walls and ceiling will need a good mop and wipe down as well.

Pretty big project. But its going to be so worth it. My kids are really excited for what that space will become.

Everyone make sure to leave out a soft pretzel and wooter ice for Super Bowl Santa.

I suspect Covey is a game day decision. They will have him test the hammy. If he can’t go, they activate Ward. I am as big of fan of Ward as there is but would rather have Covey.

Re Cox and the HOF - How many All-Decade players have not made the HOF? And among them how many had a ring?

Maybe jail taught  me that, well that and my mom.

I'm not my past mistakes, you gotta a problem with my present ones address those and don't conflate my past ones with my present.

Thank you.

Put the above two replies together and I believe you will have an answer to your bolded question.  If we ever have the opportunity to sit down over a beer, you will understand better where I am coming from.

I think I remember hearing someone call in to NFL Radio and say to Bill Polian that an all-decade team meant HOF and he corrected them that it did not.  I don’t remember how many examples he came up with, though

For the superbowl, just use Smith at punt returner.

They used him on the first punt of the NFCCG.

Its the biggest game of the year, and the last game of the year. No need to save him. Use his explosiveness back there if Covey cant go.

I understand activating Ward- as a backup.

Smith should handle the returner duties though.

I haven't been around much last 2 weeks other than checking in from time to time but whatever's going on with members/posters, etc will work itself out.

The Eagles are playing in the Super Bowl in less than 20 hours!   Focus on the reason we're all here as fans!

Situational football.  Early on, I would use Ward to insure Devonta is available as a WR.

Yeah, but it’s not like it’s important or anything.

I wholeheartedly agree but it’s a moot point. The pillars took the wheel.

I doubt a single "pillar” had even one conversation with the Mods.  No wheel was taken.  It wasn’t even considered.  Justrelax did what almost all, if not all, the pillars would do.  He self regulated.  veejer did the same thing.  Many others did as well.

Sounds perfect.  We go through Utah every summer en route from California to Granby Colorado and back.

If anyone needs a hug, I am here for you. I apologize in advance for the party in my pants. Just excited about tomorrow.

Oh sorry I'm not in Utah anymore, it's a toxic environment/culture for me, though I greatly miss my fam the mountains and red Rock.

I'm in Wichita KS now, not my favorite place in the world but if you're ever driving through wichita to somewhere cooler hit me up and we'll go get some rootbeer floats, I know a place!

Man, bad memories.

The Fog Bowl was a New Years Eve. I spent the evening with a bottle of Jack.

I listened to the Bills-Oilers playoff game the next day with the TV volume on max while I was in a hot shower while puking into the drain.

I still have not had another shot of Jack.
