Brian Johnson will really shine next year. And anyway, Stoutland staying on is the big tamale.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Anyone else watching the flyers as an appetizer before the main course?

I think that job looks worse to people close to Arizona than it does from an outside perspective, especially after a down year. People were saying the same things about us two years ago. Murray's got to make some changes, but it's not all doom and gloom.

There’s a reason why coaches have come out and said they turned down the job cause of murray. There’s a massive problem with him in that organization. There’s a good portion of guys on that team that don’t think he’s a very good teammate. Also the bidwells have been horrible owners for years. It’s one of the reasons it took them as long as it did to move from sun devil stadium to build their new stadium. The city didn’t approve funding cause of the lousiness of the franchise

The difference between the Eagles and Cardinals is Jeffrey Lurie is actually a good owner. He is willing to put money into the team and wants to win and will pay coaches, executives to do so. The same cannot be said about the Bidwells. It’s been a poorly run franchise since they moved to Az. Warner really saved them for a couple years. But since, Palmer had a 2 year renaissance then it collapsed again. There’s a reason why no head coach for the Cardinals in their history has made it to past 6 years. I’d add on they kept a GM who got a DUI and got into multiple other issues off the field for an extra two years due to financial reasons.

im telling you there’s a reason why no one has been jumping to take that job. And Payton and the bidwells are actually friends and he wanted Denver over Az.

I would be very surprised if the Cardinals arent a bottom 3 team next year. If they happen to get the first overall pick next year, they are in a way better position to get a better head coach. Because you’re gonna be having Caleb Williams fall into your lap at that point. I would bet a lot if that happens they’re going to fire whoever they hire this year to get one of the more coveted coaches cause they can due to Caleb Williams and being able to coach him. They’d bite the bullet and deal murray at that point.

Agree.  Steichen has done a great job in his role here and I wish him the best.

Don't be surprised if he's fired within 2-3 years in Indy.

OK, so they knock him the hell out of the game

We have history with that. All legal, of course. Not like Wentz's injury.

One tackle near that ankle on a scramble drill and he could be in the Blue Tent and Andy would be in a tight spot.

How is Chiefs D vs run?

If Gannon is smart (he is), he'll be wary of hitching his wagon to Kyler Murray.  Especially since he's seen Hurts up close for two years, who is the opposite of Murray in terms of professionalism and work ethic.

The only way to mitigate that risk is to get more guaranteed years and more money. Otherwise that job could ruin his future.

These F'ing quit smoking commercials are awful.

i understand they are trying to convince people to stop smoking but showing these people who cant breathe, have holes in their necks, coughing up blood, etc is gross.

I think I read 28th?

Looking now...

FWIW...

Kansas City's biggest weakness on defense was defending the pass in rushing situations, but defending the run in neutral situations was also an issue. The KC defense ranks 24th in EVE against the run in neutral situations. The Philly offense is fifth in rushing EVE in neutral situations. Compiled 3 days ago

Monday after the SB should be a national holiday

When I was active duty our commanding officer would always give us liberty the day after SB because he figured a lot of people would be drinking. He didn't want any alcohol related incidences, specifically DUIs.

Yeah he deserves his big shot and hope it works out well for him. I think losing Reich at the time stung more than this news does.

Bad, 18th best in yards per carry. They don't give up a ton per game (107.2 ranked 8th) but that's because they are last in TD passes allowed, 19th in passing yards allowed, and 28th in passer rating against. This Chiefs D is a sacrificial lamb on the altar of the Super Bowl. I am talking Old Testament 1980's style annihilation. Its an awful D that was rarely tested and lost when it was vs Buffalo and Cincy. They limped into the SB because Cincy lost their O-line (3 backups including the inept Max Scharping) The Chiefs O-line in the Tampa Super Bowl was equal to or better than the Bengals line in this AFCCG.

This site is an incredible resource for sortable statistics.

Yup. It’s a poorly run franchise and it’s not just a lately thing. Warner and Palmer really saved that franchise for a couple years but the rest of the time it’s been a pretty bad organization.

Murray isn’t even playing until November at the earliest. So that team is going to be really bad next year. I look at it this way, if they stumble into the first overall pick they’re gonna take Caleb Williams. Then somehow try to move Kyler Murray. but here’s the issue for Gannon, they did the same thing to Steve Wilks. They were bad under wilks in his first year (not surprising), and thry Fired him after a year knowing they were gonna go murray so they wanted someone more coveted/suited to go along with murray. That was after one year. So there’s a chance if the cardinals are really bad next year ( it is highly likely) they might just fire Gannon and get a more coveted coach in there that they wanna go with Caleb Williams. At that point Gannon became the new wilks.

Not a lot of experience. Not sure how Siri will be with him either as the main guy. Shane was his trusted lieutenant, don't think he has that same confidence and trust in Johnson.

All ready!

I am not as confident as most today. I don't know if we overcome Mahomes. I feel like he can just will them to the win. Especially after losing his last superbowl. I'm just not sure if he will be denied in two straight.

The eagles are the more talented and more physical team and will win comfortably.   Hope that helps

Well, we won't have OJ on our side tonight.

He's ascended / ascending relatively fast and done so with gusto, while really helping improve Jalen's game this year. He reads the room fast and I think he'll take to OC like a duck takes to water. We'll find out in time.

It's a weekend rental house lol. Our house is being built. I'm doing a room like this but it will definitely be decked out.
