We’re just the better team. It’s a real pick your poison defending this offense because we have 2 serious playmakers at WR, a legit pro bowl level TE, a great group of RBs, and a QB who runs like a RB.

The optionality plus the talent is just really, REALLY hard to defend.

I think it was the right approach from the Chiefs.  Force Hurts to beat you with his arm.  Maybe he fails to achieve lift off.  If he succeeds, at least you’ve got short possessions and it comes down to a Hurts/Mahomes duel.  
 

But I’m not sure what the move is to adjust off that.  I always sort of assume and fear the worst, which I’m still doing right now.  I feel like the offense will somehow stall out.  But rationally, the Chiefs have nothing but bad options on defense right now.

Same.  I was looking forward to posting in the 4th quarter that we should rest Lane Johnson for the real test in week 1, but that won’t be in the cards tonight.
