mediocre player exposed by a D that sold out vs the run and dared him to pass

That is some serious hate in your heart. He's been impressive almost all the games he's featured (stats don't lie), including tonight. That's harsh.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I’m still not understanding why people keeping harping on hurts’ fumble. 24 points in the second half is nauseating 🤮

Not harping on it but to ignore it as a huge moment is silly.  It was 14-7 and the Chiefs didn't have an answer.  It was going to be 21-7 and Mahomes was going to continue to be on the sidelines.  Huge play in the game.

Would have been a 3 possession game. Fumble blew that up and completely turned the game around for the chiefs. Yeah, it’s not good giving up 24 in the 2nd half, but if the birds didn’t fumble it earlier they could have controlled the clock.

3? Why are you so ok with letting all of those guys walk? Or are just going to go on another offseason tangent about how fast WRs is all that matter?

We can’t afford to pay Hurts and keep all of them. Sanders is easily replaceable in the draft and with Gainwell. Hargrave is a tough replacement, but at his age, and what he’ll cost, I’m not sure if we can afford it. Bradberry will be too expensive, we’ll have to go with a cheap vet and/or rookie.

Not gonna lie, this doesn’t sting nearly as much as I expected. Thanks to LII.

Still hurts though.  The way it ended might have stung even more.

Im just done with that dopey arse blank stare from Gannon as his soft zone gets shredded by every QB with a pulse.   The got got utterly dominated tonight

- Gannon got pwned. Badly. Andy's halftime adjustments were masterful.

- The ST F up we've all seen coming did end up coming but honestly, it's irrelevant because the Chiefs would have marched down the field for the TD anyway.

- The refs robbed neutral fans of a hell of an ending. You just can't call that to end a SB when it hasn't been called all night. The vast majority of tweets from neutral current and former players etc agree.

- Pay Hurts. He's going to regret that fumble which can't be ignored but he played an otherwise masterful game. Mahomes did pretty much the same thing against the Bengals though.

Will be an interesting offseason. Gannon needs to be better.

He needs to F off. Or just stay in Arizona now.

2 TDs he was completely out coached. No defender within 15 yards.

Matt, seriously stop. You did this with the Phillies loss. It’s baiting and trolling to do this shtick. You might not be going through the same feelings but plenty others are.

It is neither baiting nor trolling.  Are you saying I’m not allowed to have or express my feelings?  Interesting double standard.  I expected more from you.

Because it was likely a 10 or 14 point swing in the game.

Nah he needs to go; we’ve seen all we needed to see. Put this defense in front of an above average qb and they get picked apart.

I always felt the key matchup was the Eagles DL vs KC OL...no sacks and was run on. The KC OL won this battle and made all the difference

It’s really hard to believe that you honestly feel this way without bias. The fumble was bad, sure. But Hurts made a bunch of really good plays. Tied it up when I didn’t think it was possible. How many QBs would have played that well in that game? Not many. I was his biggest non-believer before the season. Got called out a bunch for it. The guy somehow did what I thought was impossible. And put up 35 in a Super Bowl. I’m not sure what you expect from a QB. If the defense did anything in the second half, we win. If that last call was handled correctly, we would have had a chance. And if he threw a pick to lose, sure. Maybe it would be a discussion. We were up ten at half after the fumble. Jalen and the offense did enough to win. Turnovers happen. He did plenty to win. If you don’t agree, I’m not sure what to tell you

You can’t give 7 points to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.  That’s what lost us the game and you can’t convince me otherwise

KC could’ve easily scored a TD instead of the game winning FG so the fumble MIGHT have lost us the game

Another thing that sucks is that for the most part, Kelce was contained.  The Eagles let guys like Sky Moore, Jerrick McKinnon and Kadarius Toney beat them.

@mattwill

We all know it's just a game.

But why become a troll after a loss on the biggest stage

You're no better than the people you point fingers at.

Nah just football

hurts is a good kid he just isnt a good enough passer to build an offense arounf

I said Gannon sucked all year. Many of us agreed. I hate that he proved us right.

Fire Gannon and Edwards into the sun

That was the worst part of this game. I won’t blame the refs for losing because we couldn’t stop the Chiefs from scoring. But to essentially ice the game on such a soft call robbed us of what could have been an all time great ending.

To put all the blame on Hurts is asinine. Yes, that fumble was clearly on him, but he rebounded from it well, IMO. Do you think Minshew rebounds from that? I sure as hell don’t.

It was unfortunate, but not game ending.

Tonight’s loss was on Gannon and the defense.

The sad part is that we’ll never know if we could’ve pulled it out at the end because of a phantom holding call. But in my heart, I think we do.

It’s just a **** way to end a great season.

Ok but giving up 24 points in a second half didn’t help either. Most of this loss is on the defense/coaching.

For sure. It absolutely sucks that they don’t call penalties all game and then decide it with a "penalty” that had no effect on the play at all.

We all got robbed of an amazing finish.

Because they focused on Ftard and let everyone else you mentioned run by.
