Makes sense. IDK how you can argue against Hurts tends to be selfish on RO's and that leads to unnecessary hits regardless of the result of his run.

You cant. Unless you are one of the very weird obsessive fanatical Hurts appologists in this thread. Which @Next_Up is.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Yes Minshew played poorly, but he should not have been put in that position.

Why do you pass 32 times against the #2 pass defense, and only run it 14 times against the #23 rush defense.

This was two weeks ago, Desmond Ridders first start, in New Orleans.  The Falcons ran all over them.

????? Blog never fails to entertain....

And we are all fat.

And that's bad for our health

All of this comes back to the idiotic gameplan against the bears. They run the ball normally in that game like they should have, hurts doesn't get crushed 50 times and probably isn't injured currently. We beat the cowboys with hurts and we have the #1 seed locked in already.

Coaching staff has really sucked D the last few weeks

Come on, enough with the biased crap. No QB is going to be perfect on every read. Hurts does it very well. Hey, did you get to watch your boy today? He really played his game.

Hurts does it very well... but he also needs to give it more than he does.  And the coaches should be going over every single time he keeps that he shouldn't, so that he gets even better at it.  You know why?

^ This is why.

He's kept the ball too much this season.  Some by design of the offense where that's the call.  And sometimes where the call is for him to read it.  Either way, he's taken too many hits and the inevitable (and the predictable) has occurred.   And I've been told, "running QBs get injured less than pocket passers" with all kinds of 'stats' to back it up.  And yet... somehow, none of those stats actually matter, because Hurts' carries are so far above the level of any of those stats being done that it's an outlier.  The only QB that his rushing frequency compared to is Lamar Jackson... who is hurt... againand he was running even more frequently than Jackson did when he set the record for a single season.

As for the rest of your post...  :nonono: Divisive and inaccurate.

Today was an abject failure from every single level (except for Julian). Minshew was garbage but no one did him any favors at all. Penalties, play calling, game planning, focus. All garbage.

Because they're arrogant and stubborn idiots that didn't want to change the game plan despite the clear drop off in skill set from QB1 to QB2.

Is there anyone in that organization that can get through to them? Its too late in the season for this incompetence.

Their early game intentions have been pretty clear this year on the offensive side of the ball. Pass, pass, pass early to jump out to a lead and then let the defense sit back in their zone and not give up any big plays. Sometimes it’s worked this year, but it’s infuriating when they don’t adjust or adjust too late to a better formula. It was the same thing against Chicago.

I just don’t think they trust Miles is the main issue. They’ll never give him 20+ carries a game and to be fair, they’re probably justified in that logic.

Most passing attempts by Eagles QB this year

40 - Minshew

39 - Hurts

37 - Hurts

36 - Hurts

35 - Hurts

32 - Minshew, against the #2 pass defense, without the future HOF right tackle, and facing the #23 run defense.

You back up QB should not 2 of the top 6 games in passing attempts, especially if those are the only 2 games he has played.

@downundermike

Seriously, how do they defend that game plan?

WTF? Run the Ball? Duh...

That was the failing today, Not the Stache, not Driscoll,

It was all about exploiting  their weaknesses, which we didn't....

Put down the fork. Face!

Edit: 60 Minutes is a joke. Switching to the Ravens game now

Glad the Giants won today. We will probably be facing backups now.

Yeah, I am sure Chad Henne, Brandon Allen and Case Keenum would just jump right in and you would not notice any difference :roll::roll::roll::roll:

Serious question, how bad does Gannon suck if this team doesn't have the most sacks since 1989?

I think Giants play their starters and try to win.  Will only go to backups if Eagles start blowing them out.
