Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Tennessee last play of the year was a 4th down check down. Yikes

Congrats Doug

if the Jags win the SB, since they have no fans, hold the parade in Mongolia and give their people a chance to celebrate a Khan one final time.

No

It’s based on the true story of Travis Walton. Not scary at all, I promise!

By human fathomable standards it’s not possible

I always used to be bothered by Joe Buck. Some people's rant has been Collinsworth, mine's been Buck.

Not sure why. His dad, Jack, was a great presence on air, thought maybe Joe got a Legacy Handshake and a Job.

Whispers of Nepotism? Probably why I've been conflicted with him. I've since changed my mind.

Just an observation, I know some of us hate certain broadcasters getting our games. Me too...Charles Davis?

Joe does a good job. Gives Troy his HF Props, pretty good on PBP, although I still give my highest marks to Mike Tirico right now.

Nobody better out there than Tirico at staying on the game, substitutions, down and distance, all the stuff you need to hear...

Just like nobody could call a Flyers game like Gene Hart......

Joe Buck can stay, til he has to go call the World Series, til then...let him grow on me... like a fungus...

Are my standards too high or do I expect Best of the Best at every level .....:P

I'm actually a big Jim Jackson fan.  I think he does a great job narrating the Flyers games.

The League loves them sum Sean Payton. Promote him every chance.

I don't get it. Super Bowl guy, yeah but a terrible Network presence and still a punchable face..:afro:

Is he that good?

Why'd he quit when Drew left?? No bullets left in the gun? Bad roster? Cut and Run?

Just don't see him as some kind of Savior for a Franchise...

At the very cruel risk of quoting myself, it was the only way I knew to follow up on this specific topic.

@FranklinFldEBUpperand @pisceschica

I'm sure you remember Jim Mora Jr, when with Atlanta, celebrating Trotter getting excluded before play began.

2005, It was a pre-game scuffle with Trotter and Kevin Mathis.

Mora reacted, when the Officials told him, like a 10 year old that found out his parents weren't gonna ground him.

His buried adolescence came right out into the microphone..."Trotter's Out? for Mathis? We'll be okay with that"...

Mora heard the deal and jumped. My King for your Pawn. I get competitive advantage but he played it like he stole our favorite toy.

Reminds me so much of Payton's whole take on the NFL...They owe me something and I will kick and scream til they give it to me.

Those clowns don't belong in our Sport. Don't want to see Payton on the sidelines, ever again...

Bye the way, we lost that one, 14-10...

Big assed Middle linebacker would have helped, vs a no-account backup quarterback... Just sayin...

Gene in the day, you could close your eyes and still see the game, every scrape of ice... just sayin...He was good.

You’d think they’d want an offensive coach for their new QB.

I swear that I’m living in bizarro world with this Gannon stuff. Seriously. What in the world is wrong with the NFL world that someone pedestrian like Gannon is a sought after figure? It’s mind-boggling, flabbergasting and baffling. All likely from hearsay, anecdotes and a technologically advanced game of telephone?

How does that happen and how did the NFL hiring process become akin to the NFL pro bowl selection process?

Statically, he’s been a good DC. I don’t understand the hype either though. Personally, I don’t like his type of defense and don’t think he’ll be a good HC at all and would bet on him failing. He’s like bizarro Jim Washburn. Both had sacks a plenty but one was bad vs the run and the other is bad vs short passes particularly over the middle. Both schemes seem to minimize the impact of sacks.

Joe Buck is infinitely preferable to guys like Jim Gray and Bob Costas — both of whom are slimy, talentless pieces of garbage.  I’m not a fan of Jim Nantz, either; he should stick to golf, although I don’t despise him like the other two.

:offtopic:

What has happened to Princess Harry is almost as tragic as what happened to Princess Diana.  Lots of people in this world full of "woe is me” and "please pity me”.  Not sure how long the public will sympathize with someone stinking rich and as totally out of touch with reality as he seems to be.

As time goes by I like King Charles more and more, and Harry less and less.  He conjures up the old saying for me, "Don’t go away mad; just go away”

I wish someone would tell him the obvious that he can’t seem to get — William and Kate matter, their kid George matters.  You don’t.  That’s how that dumb royalty thing works.

This has to be in the running for the "Comment of the Year Award." 🤣

I just want to say Congrats to Doug and the Jags for making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.   Doug completely turned that team and organization around in just one year.   I will always appreciate what he brought to this franchise.   Doug has a 4-2 record in the Playoffs already.   Yes the Titans did collapse down the stretch but the Jags had to win those games.   They had a 5 game losing streak during the season.   9 wins after last year is a huge improvement.   The Jags had 5 straight 4th Place finishes before winning the Division this year.  Good Luck in the playoffs Dougie P.

I guess it’s just me, but I think Gannon has done an outstanding job with the Eagles. Opposing teams don’t score that much on us, and they don’t gain a lot of yards either.

Just what they need…another defensive coach to groom Bryce Young (or whichever QB they pick)
