I wouldn’t care if the NFL didn’t do a full "conference call the night of to absolve us of all PR blame” and then had Vincent do a crying PC the next day. I could be and probably am in the minority but I think an honest answer in an unpredictable situation like this goes way farther than deflecting blame. They could have even went about deflecting blame but being more honest about it. 

I’m really surprised Reich hasn’t gotten more reported interest at this point. I think he’s a solid to good coach who looks even better after Indy embarrassed itself with Saturday.

I feel like with him at his age and the extension he just got not long ago, it’s more  the case of teams reaching out and him or his agent saying "nah, we’re good for now.”

If that were the case, I think the agent would be leaking that to the access journalists.

Really? Turning down interviews is rarely heard of IMO unless it’s a college guy who already has a job. I think he’ll want to coach again eventually but be selective about it right now. 

Productivity is going to suffer tomorrow.

I think Reich is sort of a poor man’s Pederson. Successful but eventually organizational drama and Carson Wentz tarnished their resume.

Reich isn’t a shiny new object, but you could certainly do worse.

Yeah, that stuff gets out. If nothing else, it’s PR for their client. You can imagine the tweet now from Schefter/Rap: "Reich has been a popular name in coaching searches but so far has told clubs that he plans to take a year off unless the perfect opportunity comes.”
