I'm a realist bro, I'm just saying we're so bad now, worse than the Vikings (who barely beat the very same Giants we crushed recently). The same Vikings who have a +5 point differential, lowest for any team with 12 wins (and it's not even close, at all. No other 12 win team was worse than +49, and the average for a 12 win team is +144.2). But I'm just being real bro, because our back-up QB couldn't beat the Cowboys.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Eagles currently have a rash of injuries that are very concerning, currently they are not playing.

The Vikings are close right now, but if we had to play them in their house, with the roster we currently have- No Hurts, No CJ, No Lane, no Maddox, Miles Hurt etc... we lose. end of story

As stated right now these are my current rankings, thats real- I know you of all people live in fantasy land filled with unicorns,

but if/when Hurts, CJ come back, and Lane proves he can play with a torn abductor, we may rise back above some of these teams. BUT RIGHT NOW THIS IS WHERE WE ARE.

A couple things are pretty clear to me after that ish show on Saturday: Minshew isn’t 2017 Nick Foles and this isn’t the 2017 defense.

Agreed that the team that played on Saturday doesn’t win a playoff game. Hopefully Hurts and CJGJ are fine and we can relegate that team to just our collective nightmares.

Man with all those injuries, I'm amazed you don't have us below Tampa, Carolina, the Giants, Washington, Detroit, GB, New Orleans, Atlanta, Arizona, the Rams, Seattle, and Chicago.

Just being a realist bro

They have to beat the Saints.  They are the better team, no doubt, but they need to actually go out and do it.

For sure. The team is finally playing a home game after 3 weeks on the road, will be motivated, against a Saints team that is on their 2nd end of a back to back. We also matchup well vs. the Saints.

Can we lose? Of course, we can lose with turnovers or random plays (it's the NFL). I'm not sweating it.

Nick Foles wasn't 2017 Nick Foles against the Raiders or the Falcons in 2017.  "2017 Nick Foles" didn't show up until the NFCCG and Super Bowl.

The bolded is significant.  I'm not sweating it either, but... the team still has to go out and do it.  Games aren't won on paper.

Not true. BDN showed up against the NYG.

The Vikings have Kirk Cousins, they will fold up and go home the second there is an adversity in the playoffs.

That was against a 3 win team.  Surrendered the most passing TDs, and 2nd worst pass yards against in the NFL that year, too.  He wasn't lining up against the '85 Bears.   :nonono:

And he was horrendous the following week against the 6 win Raiders

Well the Vikings and the Pats weren’t the ‘85 Bears either.

Not sure the need for the back and forth but I think you get my point (and I might be a tad presumptuous but I’d wager that you don’t believe Minshew is going into 2017 BDN mode anytime soon).

Point is, going by what Nick did in his first few starts... there wasn't a ton to be optimistic about based on that season.  He was good during the 27-2 run in 2013.  The hope was that he could find that magic again, which is why the coaches went back to that tape and figured out what he did so well that year and tailored the offense to him.

In other words... if this coaching staff had to roll with Minshew the rest of the way, the offense we saw against Dallas is likely not the offense we'd see in the playoffs.  It would (or should) be tailored more specifically to him and his style.  But, since all indications are that Hurts will return soon, they don't need to do a massive overhaul, do they?

People were calling for Sudfeld after the 2017 Raiders game. That was a defensive win.

But unless you believe the Eagles are worse than the Saints and Giants, we won’t be playing the Vikings in their house.  One win, whether it’s over the Saints or Giants, means all the Eagles NFC Playoff matchups would be at The Linc.

Why does it feel like CSN or other beats almost ALWAYS write a story that follows up something we've discussed in here.  After the Dallas game I had a lengthy post about DeVonta just scratching the surface of what he could be.  Now this.

Waiting on the Practice Report. Til then, it's all speculation. (We do that here, quite well, in fact).

If Jalen, Lane and CJG are playing, the Saints may as well stay in the Bayou.

None of them will play.......

I'm guessing you think they roll with what we've got now and if we lose Sunday we pin it all on a Must-Win vs the Giants?

Is that your thinking?

CJG will not play, the Eagles did not open his 21 day practice window.

This is the kind of post that drives me crazy, you guys want to have your opinion taken seriously, but do not know something so simple.

Minshew was named the starter last Friday, so Hurts is close.

Didn't do the research. My fault.

I do express Opinions based on a Gut Feel sometimes, without the Stats at my disposal.

I'll try to do better.

Admittedly, Practice Windows and all the Practice Squad stuff is something I can't seem to reconcile in my head.

That's why we have you, Mike!

Thanks.
