Finally some realism in here. It’s long overdue. We absolute suck and it’s time we all admit it. I’m done.

What's interesting is that my gut and the demanding person in me craves a blowout win over the Saints.  The Eagles have been THE juggernaut team in the NFL this year and are in danger of backing into the #1 seed on fumes.  I'd like to see them flex one more time before the playoffs to remind themselves and all of us who they are.

But...that would be the exact opposite of what the 2017 team did.  They did back into that #1 seed on fumes.  Nobody felt good about anything heading into the playoffs.  Their first playoff win didn't even feel good.

Of course they didn’t take into account that he averaged about three yards per pass and led the team for zero points. But yes, we’d definitely be better off in the playoffs with Nate.

19 - 23 for 134 yards.  Anyone calling for him over Foles after that is a moron.  

The offense might be playing with a backup QB and no Lane Johnson. That will change in the playoffs.

I want to see the defense step up. IMO, they've had back to back bad games. They're going to face a team missing both starting guards and potential it's WR1 (Olave) and RB1 (Kamara). There is no reason not to dominate.

It is quite clear at this point that Minshew is starting.  If Hurts was ready to go, they would announce it.

I was at that game. Although it was obvious that Foles was a clear step down from Wentz, he did throw four touchdown passes and looked reasonable against the Giants. It was the next week that everyone started to panic, not taking into account how damn cold and windy it was against the Raiders and that neither team was able to pass well.

I thought Minshew was comparably reasonable against Dallas last week.

On a serious note, I gotta say that I absolutely think that DeVonta is one of the most underrated players we have. We have that one flat earthing idiot who’s been arguing that he’s just a fourth receiver and that he’s no better than Greg Ward. There are others who have argued that we would have been better off just taking Jaylen Waddle (and not getting an extra first round pick which you could argue turned into AJ Brown). Others claim he’s a decent second receiver but that’s about it. 

On the other hand, I see a future star. He’s so silky smooth. He’s acrobatic. He catches nearly everything effortlessly. He’s kinda slippery after the catch, though not necessarily a threat to take things to the house. I think he can be a DeAndre Hopkins caliber player, and I would like to see him in our uniform for another ten years. Frankly I think he’s going to have more staying power than Brown.

So it was basically 

Driscoll plays better with a week of practice than he does stepping into a game.  Not worried about resting Lane.  Minshew put up 34 points against the cowpads in a four turnover game.  We talked about close games earlier.  Well that was a pretty close game for the cowpads.  That was on the road for the third straight week with a short week.  This week at home with a rabid fan base that hates the s ain’ts.  Maybe the Eagles weren’t worried about beating the cowpads last week and more focused on clinching at home.  Plus aren’t we all a little excited about Blankenship or Epps crushing Hill?

Actually, he put up 27 points.

Without any sources whatsoever to back this up, I just don't think Nick wants to hang it all on a Giants game finale.

Pretty sure Hurts wants to go, if he's allowed.  He's a hungry type...probably feels he sat out too long already...

The following weekend is then a practice game. Now play the Stache. Starters rest, injuries heal and the Playoff run begins.

Landed last night in Philly and found a cheesesteak right away. It looks like I brought some California weather with me. Getting real excited for the game on Sunday… let’s wrap it up so folks can rest.

Who the F even knows at this point. I just hope we win.

The only reason you play games is because Minshew is starting and are trying to gain a competitive advantage.

If Hurt is playing you announce it.

If you have to play games with your #1 QB starting, you are giving the Saints the advantage.
