There is balance where there should be, in the conferences that teams belong to. Let’s face it, no conference is competitive with the SEC.  The Big 10 is now its competitor but kind of second place.  But there are historic teams in both that really don’t fit well.  Those teams will continue to move in conferences until they get a fit.  Folks are making too big a deal out of the "championship”.  Fleeting excitement.  Long term it’s the conference. And it is not necessarily the football conference. There are other sports.

Not as much as it used to be... but there was competitive balance between the conferences years ago.  That's not the case anymore.   It is now all SEC, all the time.

There used to be top teams in the PAC 10, Big 10, Big 12 (even SWC & Big 8 before that), ACC, Big East... they'd all get turns having the top teams... USC, Miami, OSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, Florida State...  now if the team isn't in the SEC, it is a second class citizen.  And to a lesser extent even within the SEC... there's the likes of Alabama, LSU, Georgia and... not a whole lot more.

Is it just sore or are we going to hear about him getting surgery after we win the SB?

I'd doubt there's anything that needs surgery but @HazletonEagle would probably know better than me.

Nope. but what you keep missing is, that week of the NFl I'd say 70-80% of the games were close, 1 score games.

bacarty, I can keep going, or you can admit you are wrong.  Here are the first 8 weeks of the NFL season.  55.7% of the games are close.

I enjoy college football, but few things bore me more than people talking about what's wrong with college football. 🤣

I can't believe Rivera isn't getting fired

Any chance Daron Payne becomes a UFA?

From that perspective the communities would stand to suffer should the income from tv drop.  Maybe all the other revenue sources stay the same but it will be a negative for them if income from tv drops.

Yes, but compared to no bowl, they win.  They are not losers, just not as big winners.  They will improve their bottom line by cutting their costs.

Scott Turner never should have traded for Carson Wentz and handed him the keys to the car... and then started him in the next to last game with the season on the line. Stupid Scott Turner.

If their revenue drops then they move into the losers bucket for me. What I’m looking at is the impact on them given the new realty which has emerged since the BCS was put in place. They may still provide local economies with income in any case which is all good.

There's no effective surgery for the SC joint.

He may have pain forever.

Will it at least be manageable pain?

Does that change the teams plans at the QB position ??  Do they make him play out his rookie deal ??

I had a Grade 3 shoulder separation in 2014 when I got hit by a car on my bike.

I still have pain and inflammation 8 years later.

Some teams I think will have interest: Titans, Giants, Bears, Ravens. I'll say he goes to Titans or Ravens if traded.

Don't know.

Pretty sure they said it was a minor sprain, right?

If so it should be manageable.

It could also heal without pain.

But pain forever is a possibility.  Hopefully can be managed enough not to affect his throwing mechanics/accuracy.

Remains to be seen.

Let’s get him.

Calm down.  It’s not like an injury has ever set an emerging Philadelphia athlete’s career on a different and terrible trajectory before.

AC or SC?

Usually a separation is AC.

There's also no good surgical fix for those either.

But sometimes they attempt depending on severity. Grade 3 is a gray area should you or shouldn't you. These days,  it's mostly no. They go up to grade 6. Grade 4-6 are always surgical. And there's no good fix for them.

SC is similar.  There's no good way to fix it. Most of the time you don't even try.

@HazletonEagle

Am I screwed for life with my shoulder?

I work out pretty regularly but it still bothers me.
