I was out on him because of injury history but he's held up well this year. I still have some concerns in that aspect. Spotrac has his market value at $12.1 APY. I think that's a little rich.

Agreed.  If Kelce retires, you are looking at new C and RG.  Be interesting to see how the offensive line play looks next year.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Yea but this conversation is a bit confusing to me. Talent gap is a nebulous concept and, in my opinion, completely unnecessary when you’ve already seen these teams match up.

The Bucs completely housed the Cowboys in Dallas and the NYG had every opportunity to win in Minnesota. Why would we default to an amorphous concept when we already have facts on the ground?

Is there a talent gap between the Eagles and the Giants practice squad?

Seumalo is better than most of our fans seem to think. He's versatile. He's "home grown". He's not old...yet. He's exactly the type of player they sign to a third contract. I can see a three year deal at the going rate for a quality starting guard.

I know you can't sign everybody but he's at the top of my priority list.

Love him, I just need to remember how to spell his name...

Never injured, always available, plug him in anywhere and he will deal...

Guy like that deserves his third contract. We need that on our roster.

The point is, the talent gap conversation isn’t relevant when you have already seen the groups actually match up. The talent gap conversation should really only be useful in lieu of a match up, not in spite of one.

We’ve seen these teams already match up this very season. The Giants should be very confident and so should the Bucs.

He played 12 of a possible 32 games 2020-2021

Was about to post something similar.  Although it's somewhat difficult for Offensive Linemen to get into the HOF, especially Centers, I think Kelce's 5 All-Pros make a very solid case for him...

I talked to someone today who said he would rather face the Cowboys next week than the Giants. I thought that was absurd. It's not like I consider the Giants weak, but to me they're clearly weaker than the Cowboys. As in, not even close. You have to face someone with a winning record next week, so it might as well be them. In fact, I've been planning on rooting for the Giants this week just so that we don't have to face Dallas. Plus, I think the Cowboys would stand a good chance of losing to the 49ers, which I would enjoy seeing.

However, as I'm thinking about it, I think I would root for the Vikings on Sunday if the 49ers lose to the Seahawks on Saturday. Because if both Seattle and the Giants win, Dallas would end up hosting the Giants the following in a game I'd surely expect them to win. And I don't want to face the Cowboys in the championship game.

I don't think the Seahawks are winning though, but if they do, I'll root for the Vikings. Maybe, just maybe, they could beat the Cowboys.

Incidentally, we've never advanced to a Super Bowl without beating the Vikings in the playoffs.

Yeah, overstepped there, just thinking this year he's been reliable...

Always with the facts Mike...

First go around with mock draft simulators this year...would be pretty thrilled with Carter/Ricks:

Two years ago I was always on the not making HOF side of the argument, but I can't argue that now after back to back 1st team all-pro's, he's getting in. Don't think he'll be a first ballot guy though.

I agree. Not 1st ballot, but one day I will definitely be driving to Canton to see Kelce's induction. Was at Dawks and it was awesome.

Did you meet @Don Corleone at the Dawk enshrinement, I know he was there.

Yeah, we'll see.

Do you think some of the newer "advanced stats" help offensive linemen's cases for getting in?   Or is it still too early for that?

Nope, because the voters are old.

Agree. The Cowboys are simply a bad match up for us. They play us extremely well (especially since Dak knows our defensive playbook better thank Gannon).

I would love to hear his reasoning. Giants could win but it would take a lot of bad play from the Eagles. If the Eagles offense is on, NYG wouldn't be able to keep up. Cowboys could which then narrows the margin of error.

Boomers don't have time for that.

Disagree,  watch some tape. Guy is caught standing around alot. I'd say he's average and probably the worst lineman we have and the easiest to replace.

Nah, I don't want to meet any of you weirdos IRL.

IMO

The toughest road - Cowboys, 49ers

Easiest - Seahawks, Vikings

So, worst of the 5 guys who are considered by most to be the best in the League?

I would say the easiest path would be

Hawks and Bucs win this week

We beat the Hawks, Bucs beat the Vikings

Eagles beat the Bucs

Marcus Epps and Boston Scott were tremendous pick ups that the Vikings and the Saints respectively risked just like Howie did with Poyer and Toohill.  Happens all the time.

I don't think saying the word ebonics warrants a ban.

Yea that's not a good reason to get banned. He wanted a user banned so chose something that would get someone banned. It's not like he was using it himself or saying anything antisemitic

Oh well. I just don't think that was worth banning. Posters openly bullied him. I'm not dying on this hill though. Moving on
