Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Tbh I don’t think Buffalo is better than the Bengals right now. Imo bengals are playing the best complimentary football in the afc at the moment. I thought that mnf game was going to be the bengals winning that game, getting the 2 seed and Buffalo playing in cincy for the divisional round. If Buffalo wins today, then cincy has to go to Buffalo. If they win they then likely go to KC. That’s brutal back to back road games. Whereas if they beat the bills only one likely road trip to KC to get to the Sb

some will say the Chiefs are playing the best football in the AFC or the team to beat but they haven’t played anybody good since Cincinnati a month and a half ago. They were in dogfights against the broncos, Texans and even the Seahawks game was an uninspiring for much of the contest.

I'd agree. I think Bengals are our hardest matchup if we make it to the SB. Chiefs are pretty underwhelming and I think we matchup well with them as long as Gannon calls a good game on D.

Wow, hell of a catch either way

Man I was gonna run som errands during seconda half but now I’m invested in this game.

Hopefully this doesn’t end up like the SF/SEA game

Few things working in Miami’s favor. They have a better D than Seattle, and Purdy was still protecting the football, whereas Allen already has multiple turnovers which is a stigma of his in their losses (not all are his fault)

They’re gonna say he doesn’t have control

Wow Diggs was really close

Actually looks good on replay in terms of feet but ball was definitely not secured until after he was out

I don't think that's a catch. He didn't secure it with both feet inbounds. Great effort though.

They aren't going to review it because it's not a catch. There Sean now you're all caught up. It's two feet not one. Quit whining

I don’t think they are going to say he had possession with the first foot down

Who?

He didn't have possession until he brought it into his body therefore it's not a catch. Pretty simple call.

Yeah i was looking strictly at his feet. When i saw the replay with the ball he definitely didn’t secure it until after he was out.

Love the Bills shout song. It’s way better than ours

Another dumb rule.  If they ruled it a TD, they would have reviewed it, but can't if its incomplete.  If it is that close, review either way.

I’m not doing anything. That’s how most of the hockey world views overtime and shootout losses. They don’t count the same as what a regulation loss. Hence why both teams get least get 1 point when it goes to OT. You don’t get any points with a regulation loss.

Even with your argument, do the math. Numerically a win is 3 a RT loss is zero.  That makes an OT or SO loss 2/3 of an RT loss and 1/3 of an RT win.  Carchidi is wrong.

Didn't have control when first foot went down.

Ok so I know this is way off topic and also I do not watch hockey. Some of you are fans of the sport and this is kind of normal, but it's wild to me the refs were standing there letting them go at it. It'd be crazy if the NFL and refs let OBJ and Josh Norman go at it or I think it was Talib and Crabtree.

Fighting used to be part of the fabric of hockey.  It’s unique in that it’s a full-contact sport that also has continuous action.  Quite often there is 2-3 minutes of play between whistles.  If you’re competing against another player who slashes, cross-checks, and/or high-sticks you during the same shift — the choice used to be to slash and chop him back with your stick, or drop the gloves and beat him down.  Beating him down usually made more room for yourself, and got the rest of the team engaged like a huge hit does in football.

I was never a fan of the "contrived” fighting — fighting at the face off or starting a fight away from the play.  It’s also kind of pointless now that all the players wear visors.  You’ll usually do much more damage to your own hands that you will to the opponent

Cool carchidi and most every person who covers hockey is wrong that’s saying it right now even though it says .500 in the standings? You can think whatever you want. I view it as when you completely change the game for overtime  then end it in a shoo out that to me is not even playing the same type of game anymore. You completely change the entire game to just get a better outcome then I tie. That’s not the same as when they play the first three periods and lose. When you go three on three and then go to a shoot out afterwards that’s frankly BS. Hockey standings disagree as they work in my favor that they are .500

Miami felt like the best place for Rodgers if GB was moving on from him, but Schefter reported today that Tua will be back in 2023.

So hypothetically, if Rodgers leaves GB and Miami isn't the team, where do you think? Raiders? No way in hell they'd trade him to the Niners IMO.

Jets maybe? Something about Rodgers doesn't seem like it would fit well in NYC.

Just call it a TD

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! the NHL official site agrees with you, and lists the Flyers percentage as.500

I don’t even know where he’s coming up with 3 from. You only get two points for a winning a game in hockey. So if you get to overtime and lose or lose in a shootout, you get half the amount of points possible. It’s essentially what the NHL used to have in a tie.

The reason they did that cause they knew it was BS to change the overtime rules to 3 on 3  then ended in a shootout and consider that the same type of loss as a regulation loss. So you get one of two points. Where the hell is 3 coming from unless he’s talking 3 on 3 overtime hockey.

Wrong.  Under 2 mins refs can review anything.  They didn't need to in this case because it was an obvious incompletion.

No.  @mattwill is completely correct.  The way results are tracked now is win, loss, or shootout/OT loss.  There is no "tie” anymore.  A team gets one point for the OTL, while the other team gets two points for the win.  That does not compute to .500 because you’ve lost ground to your opponent in the standings

The Flyers are 18-25.  It can be catalogued as 18-18-7 but they are not a .500 team.  There is a reason teams need 93 or 94 points in the 82-game regular season to make the playoffs.  They will be nowhere close with 82 points.
