I wouldn't say I'm "worried" but I've trained myself not to let my expectations get too high over the years.  When I was younger and the Eagles would lose I would be miserable for a solid day or two after the fact - now I get over it much more quickly.

Yep.  I have tried not to have any expectations as the wins kept piling up this year, but now, as the #1 seed, I fully expect the Eagles to be in the Super Bowl at a minimum, and my mood will be impacted for a couple weeks if we somehow lose this weekend.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I saw the Giants compared to the 2017 Eagles earlier which is way too hot takey, but there is something about underdogs, upsets and less superior teams going on a playoff run. See it happen all the time. We just saw a team win for the first time in NFL history with 5 turnovers and down 27-0. We just saw Skylar Thompson almost beat the Bills. Bengals almost lost if it weren't for a 98 yard fumble recovery. If Eagles play their A game they aren't losing, but if they make a mistake here or there, anything can happen.

I think the Giants have a chance to win this game. If they can run the ball and be in 3rd and short/manageable they could eat away at the clock to keep the offense on the sideline. Add on having Williams, jackson and McKinney for this game as compared to week 14 makes their defense much different. I suspect they see if their front 4 is winning early. and if not send blitzes. I suspect more blitzes than they used against Minnesota as the eagles are 18th in the league vs. the blitz. But i also think now healthy that their front four is capable of  delivering pressure so they can switch up.

I’m not gonna put a percentage on it but they’re playing much better now than when we faced them the first time. They are much healthier right now then they were the first time. Exclude week 18 cause it didn’t matter to them. In their last four games (that mattered and played their starters) they are 3-1 and only lost came on a 61 yard field goal to the Vikings. You look at their analytics in the offense says they’re good. Which they have been down the stretch. Their defense says they’re not very good. However, there was a stretch of the season where they had a bunch of guys out. I think their defense is still not great, but they are average to above average when everyone is healthy.

That doesn’t mean the Eagles can’t score on them. The eagles can’t turn the ball over multiple times in this game. If the eagles have 2 or more turnovers then i think they are gonna be in danger of an upset. If we don’t turn the ball over and the defense doesn’t get stuck on the field on third down we should be fine. I think it’s going to be a competitive game into the 4th quarter. I don’t see this being a blow out.

The Eagles had a better offensive and defensive line than any of the teams they faced in the playoffs in 2017.  They had better skill players too on offense.  The big question was QB.

Vikings were really good, just more top heavy.

Steffon Diggs, Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, Jerrick McKinnon was a pretty good line-up.

I can easily see the Cowboys winning. All season long they have been better than Eagles fans would admit. And I absolutely don’t trust a seventh round rookie in an important spot. That’s why I would feel good about facing the 49ers next week. Purdy is not playing three flawless games from here on out. Just hoping he holds off on his bad game for another week...unless it’s against the Giants.

I can’t do agree with you that they are better than a lot of Eagles fans want to admit. They tend to blow it and implode, either wildcard round or this round. But this team I think this team has a good chance to beat the 49ers. that game to me comes down to two things.

First, the Cowboys offensive line. if the Cowboys offense of line is blocking well and handling that pass rush then I think Dallas is going to be able to throw the ball down the field and score some points. You saw that when Geno Smith got protection they were able to attack the middle, deep part of the field. Which the 49ers dvoa is 25th on the deep pass in the middle of the field. Aren’t too much better on deep passes along the sideline.

Second, how does Brock Purdy  hold up against Dallas his pass rush. Because I think Dallas is pass rush is what makes that defense good. When they are not good, you can pick on their secondary and score points. (Jags, Washington and eagles games). And you can even pick on some of their linebackers. So for the Niners it’s imperative that they can run the ball. which I think they should be able to against Dallas cause they’re not that great against the run. But need to give purdy a good pocket. if he’s not getting the type of blocking he got last week and what we’ve seen down the stretch, I think he’s gonna have some troubles and make some mistakes. And that concerns me for the Niners.

WRONG. Asante Samuels came out of retirement to bolster our depth. He saw what his son did last week and got jealous.

Google them. Don't worry, they're all over the age of 18 now

My bad I think 21 is Joselio Hanson.

This feels like some kind of attack.

Don't be shy.

I’d add atlanta still had julio jones and devonta freeman on that team. And sanu was actually still good then. People forget atlanta got hot at the end of the season. They won 7 of 9 heading into that divisional round game.

Honestly, if we're comparing the Giants to anyone it's....

The 2022 Phillies. Coaching/Manager change, average regular season team, injuries but healthy at the right time, get into the playoffs ass backwards but once they start you play loose with nothing to lose.

I think worried is too strong of a word but there are some small concerns. Anyone that thinks its a gimme or a lock is being too homerific.

I’m a natural born worry wart. I’d be worried if I wasn’t worried.
