Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Some thoughts on the game.

I was surprised the interior run game was so dominant. The all 22 will be interesting to see, but my guess is that the Giants didn't start crowding the box until they got down by 28 and the game was effectively over. We did hit the big pass to Smith early, so I wonder if they had to play their safeties deep to take away the big plays.

Hurts didn't look injured, and he didn't appear to take any big hits, so that isn't a concern moving forward. He juked Thibodeaux out of his shoes, so clearly he isn't lacking mobility.

Stoll missed an easy block and Smith had a key first down drop. Not sure if Brown stopped running hard on the deep ball or if it was overthrown. He did look somewhat gimpy afterward, but hopefully he is okay. But other than those hiccups, an outstanding day for the offense. Once the Giants took 6 minutes to score in the third quarter, the game was effectively over. You can't take that much time off the clock.

On defense, the DEs did an excellent job setting the edge and keeping Jones from escaping pressure. Six rushes for 24 yards is excellent for us. They also took away his first read and you could tell he was lost all night. We did get away with a potential big play when their receiver dropped an easy TD, but one busted coverage all night is certainly not terrible.

The Giants were simply outmanned on both sides of the ball, and next week will be the real test. But if AJ Brown is healthy, I feel really good about our chances regardless of who we play. The Giants have legit talent on defense, and we made their best players invisible.

Nice to see the Giants break their streak of beating 1 seeds, and, their streak of going to the Super Bowl any time they get 1 playoff win.

Game is on my birthday next Saturday. Same day as when they blasted Minnesota five years ago. I was at that game and I’ll be there next weekend so I’ll do what I can to bring the luck.

I’ll take credit for this one. Something about this team and dropping a 38-7 ass kicking on January 21st.

The last two times the Eagles played on 1-21 they won 38-7.

Okay

And that’s why some wanted giants to win. Imagine Dall and with a win SF -_-

It’s a good feeling to be able to sit and watch tomorrow’s game stress-free and not stewing about the Eagles being out.

Let’s hope SF and Dallas beat the piss out of each other.

Dont turn to the 76ers game. Dont even check the score right now. Dont let them ruin your night. Its not that bad, but they arent in the lead so dont risk it.

I know Harden sitting out might cost my team the win versus @mr_hunt

F***

I think the AJ issue on the sidelines might be a hammy issue

You are right.  Although he looked calm, no?  So maybe not much to worry about.

I was thinking of hopping in my car and catching the rest of the game.  Thanks for the warning.

All week we heard about how great Dexter Lawrence was. Did he make a single play?

Love the running game being so dominant. Teams are gonna want to stack the box against us going forward which should open up some more shots down the field.

No Harden. No Embiid.

They were down 10 at half time when I checked.

They may win. They may lose in a valiant short handed effort which isnt even that bad. But does anyone even want to risk seeing a loss on a night like this?

I dont.

So Name That Tune came on after the game and my wife and I can’t stop looking at Randy Jackson. It looks like an animatronic version of him. You guys on the edibles should stay away.

We used JRPG rules today. Kelce’s 5 All-Pros provided full mitigation vs Lawrence’s pro bowl alternate status

I know what the coaching staff is eating tomorrow night when they watch the Cowboys Niners game.

Its nothing new.

They try. And then we beat them passing deep. They keep everything in front of them, and we beat them with short passing and run game.

The team is complete.

Not just that it can run the ball, or pass the ball. But it succeeds in any style of passing offense it needs to. It succeeds in any style of run game it needs to. Inside, outside. RBs, QB, whatever.

There is no stopping this offense. No matter what a team tries, Philly has the answer.
