Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

There’s only a 12.5% chance to watch your team play in a conference championship game. It’s awesome. Literally could never see it again

ya just said in another thread Eagles have made it look easy with how many playoff wins they have and conference championships. Gotta give lurie and roseman credit for establishing a winning culture

Oh yeah...

When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooters, the fastest runners, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed.

You miss things when you're at the game and don't get to hear the announcers. So...how exactly did the Giants manage to get four timeouts in the second half? Everyone around us was confused.

I think cowboys could expose purdy but the 9ers can overcome it. Cowboys defense is a different breed. Lots of things they do reallly well, but also can be exploited. But they are fast and explosive and offense can match the big plays they give up

Officials messed up and gave them more time from what they said

NSFW hahaha

What was the second line he said and who was he yelling at? I heard the first live.

Was a ball placement and play clock didn't reset.

Well they won their first playoff game since the double doink

Thats my point, thats a long time for us..name franchises and their last playoff win..Hell Cowboys just got theor first win in the playoffs in how long? some teams dont even have playoff wins.

Goals for me as a fan realistically

Make playoffs

Make conference championship

Make it to SB

Win Sb…

In any random year, making it to the last game (superbowl) is a successful year. Winning the Superbowl is the ultimate definition of success though

The Cowboys will implode tomorrow

When you go back and watch classic NFL games you notice in the 80s all the fans in the stadiums had regular clothing at games. No one had jerseys on.

Im curious what year that started to change. I never really thought about it tbh. As long as I can remember stadiums were always packed with team jerseys and shirts and stuff, but every time I watch videos of games from the 80s(and prior of course) all you see in the stands is regular everyday clothing.

Was team gear harder to get back then? I honestly don’t remember.

Story of the first quarter in my opinion

If SF goes up by ten or more, the route is on.

Was too young to know.

My guess is they were harder to procure.

We had Starter jackets and such in the early 90s, but I don't remember the jerseys really taking off until after that... had to settle for hats/t-shirts/sweatshirts mostly in the 80s (obscured by our everyday coats, so yeah we didn't look very festive).

Don’t you guys wish you played the Vikings. You would have destroyed them too.

Not really. Truth be told, we don't really think about the Vikings or Packers all that much.

How was the crowd noise?  I feel like on the telecast they had Daryl Johnston dialed up and the crowd muted.

Very loud for about the first quarter and a half. Once we got the big lead, everyone kinda quieted down and just waited to see if the Giants would somehow mount a comeback.

I didn't start drinking about 1:30AM after I got home from the game. I never drink alcohol prior to an Eagles game.

That's what I expected given the late game and most of us having tomorrow off... but there were rumors of many tickets sold to NYG fans, and of course, the commentators could've been calling the game from LA given how the sound was mixed.

Maybe it was because the game was so one-sided and they kept quiet, but I really didn't see as many Giants fans as what we were led to believe.

I remember the 2018 Vikings-Eagles game vibrating with crowd energy (obviously the Patrick Robinson INT being a high point), tonight the audio seemed tame in comparison but I think it was a TV production choice.

Dallas has neglected the DT position for 25 years now. That will be the story tomorrow after the game
