Fields is not the answer in Chicago.  He’s not going to be making any leap in development, but that doesn’t mean the Bears should use their #1 pick on a QB replacement.  Neither Stroud nor Young is a generational talent.  They will be there in next year’s draft too; they’ll just have different names.

The Bears need a lot more than a QB.  If they believe there is a generational talent at #1 like Will Anderson or anyone else then take them.  If not, trade down a few spots, accumulate draft capital, and wait for a great QB prospect

The same thing was being said about Hurts 12 months ago.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Why has there not been much coverage at all of Peyton hillis almost drowning, not taking anything away from damar incident, which was awful, but it makes one wonder

I'm still wondering what the hell happened.  There were a lot of medical professionals claiming the possiblity of Commotio Cordis but there has been no defnitive answer as to what happened.  Any article you read just mention that he had a cardiac arrest of the field.  We've still yet to hear directly from the doctors that worked on him or Hamlin himself.  I would think with the national spotlight on that game, the extreme outpouring of giving and emotions and everything else that occured that the NFL would be trying to provide an update so that anyone who watched that game or donated money could have some closure.

hey guys and gals , have alittle rant here , did anybody else think it looked like the refs were spotting the giants downs more favorable then the eagles spots. IMO we got spotted a yard back and they were spotted forward. except for the good spot on their bobbled pass that bradberry made a good hit on the WR.

You are probably right, but given when it happened and the score at the time, he was clearly going to see zero snaps going forward, and a tweaked hammy wouldn’t prompt a swarm of trainers.  @HazletonEagle can correct me if I’m wrong

You are correct.

Timing

He might not have even told them

And a hamstring pretty much never warrants a swarm of trainers.

I don't know if this has been posted, but it's awesome

Remember when people were saying Devonta Smith wasn't big enough or tough enough to play in the NFL?

Pepperidge Farms remembers.

I'd just like to see them rip the page out of the playbook where they run the flanker screen to him.  Not a fan.

Was very happy to finally see not only a wrinkle off the QB sneak, but also that they actually ran a 'regular' play on a 3rd and 1 last night - both converted, btw.

The most interesting part of everything last night was that the Eagles intentionally showed two formations last night, with no intention of actually running a play out of it.  First, was the 2 point conversion at the end of the half where Jurgens lined up over the ball, then the line shifted to Kelce at center... and they went hard count, before calling the TIMEOUT.   Second, the punt formation where they motioned into the 'QB' sneak with Blankenship, and then they took the delay of game.

Is this 4D chess they are playing?  Not sure why you'd throw that wrinkle out there and put it on tape so that a team can prepare for it ahead of time?  Very interesting.  Not sure I like it, not sure I hate it.  But it does seem clear that the coaching staff felt confident enough in this past game to prepare to put things out there for future opponents to worry about, with (seemingly) no intention to use it during this game.

HIPAA could be a problem.  Hamlin gets to decide what comes out and what doesn't.

As for Hillis not getting much attention, he's retired and it didn't happen on live TV.  The 16 year old girl who just passed away during a flag football game also didn't pick up much traction.   Those events happened in the abstract, we didn't watch it happen before our eyes.  Just how the news cycle works.  If there is video of something, it will always garner more traction.

Didn't realize we had more rushing yards than they did total yards.

I really want to get to another SB but also in my mind, we now have had a successful season no matter what happens. Siris second season and Hurts Second season as a full time starter? Yeah a NFCCG appearance is completely acceptable. But let's win two more all the same.

Having Ray Didinger back on PGL makes me realize so much more that Jaws is the at the core of the reason why it's unbearable to watch.

Hurts gave you 12 hours so sorry, all business now

IMO the game was effectively over when the Giants went 3 and out on their opening drive of the 2nd half

Watching last night I wonder if the Eagles may prioritize Bradberry over Hargrave if they think they can't afford both. The Eagles always like to build on the lines, but they simply have more depth at DL than CB and could always keep Cox even though many have assumed he'd be gone after this year. Having two top CBs is huge.

If you gotta strut... you know how to do it.

Was listening to the Reuben Frank podcast and he had a good point. Everyone wants the shutout but that one Giants TD drive was the stupidest scoring drive for a team down 4 TDs in the second half ever. A seven minute short pass and run drive. DaBoll was in over his head.

I would let both walk given their age, but Bradberry IMO is less likely to fall off a cliff than an undersized DT.

It was effectively over when they went for it on 4th and 8 on their first drive.   Showed their mentality... desperation from the beginning.   They felt overmatched...

and they were.

Nah... Daboll is fine.  The Giants didn't have the ability to air it out and go for the deep balls.  Daniel Jones isn't that guy.  Their OL was struggling to keep the Eagles' DL at bay.

They needed to keep the game close... which is why they went for the 4th down on the very first drive.  Once they were down by 14... then 21... they had no shot.  It was already over.   So, the next goal was to try to get something positive out of this playoff experience.

Both Bradberry and CJGJ should be priority over Hargrave.  Hargrave is about to turn 30 in a couple weeks here.

Agreed. Would love to keep Hargrave but not at the expense of our secondary.

Its a good corner draft

5 eagles RBs have rushed for 100+ yards in a playoff game.

Steve VanBuren.

Wilbert Montgomery.

Heath Sherman.

Brian Westbrook.

And Kenneth Gainwell.

🤷‍♂️

All hands on deck. Pleasure to watch. Downfield stuff was awesome.
