Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Takeaways from this weekend:

2. I’m still very worried about the collective ability/health of the OL to not musical chair us to death against SF.

Hurts is extremely valuable to this team but to me, Lane is far and away the MVP. Call it 1 and 1a I guess. They are and have been for a while now a different team with him out of the lineup. Him staying healthy next week might be the most important aspect of the game. If Driscoll has to see time against Bosa, it’s probably ball game.

That’s the exact WTF play it reminded me of.

The eagles have played the niners once in the playoffs, way back in 1995 and lost.

Having said the first and only NFL game I've ever been to was when I lived in SF and my buddy who was a season ticket holder took me

Eagles won, niners werent very good that year.

Eagles and niners aren't really rivals at all.

I'd say GB and Saints are bigger rivals outside of division, maybe even cardinals because they used to be in NFC east.

Who do you consider your biggest rival outside of the division?

I love that TB played so bad it gave the cowboy fans a little hope. Just to have the football pulled again.

Dallas D played well.

We may let up a frustrating drive or 2.

But their coach will punt more than he should. He will settle for more FGs than he should. And it will cost them.

All we need is a smart game from Hurts. Protect the ball, and the rest of the team will take care of the rest. Theyll score more than 20.

And Purdy just wont score that much against our pass rush.

The logical initial plan of attack on offense (imo) should be to run right into the teeth of their front 7.  They may have an elite run D, but that didn’t stop us against the Titans.  More importantly, it beats up their edge rushers when the time comes to pass.

I like our OLs chances beating up their front 7 more than I do of our OL setting a clean pocket against them.

BUT…I worry about both Lane and Dickerson finishing the game if the plan is for an OL slugfest.

Run the ball and throw 9 routes. We shouldn't throw between the hashes all game.

Run, and throw deep. Dallas didnt do well on short stuff. Those CBs came up and met the WR at the ball all night long. If they want to be that aggressive, we can throw over the top, or have a big Goedert game.

Isn't the Cowboys losing fun?

And now we don't to worry about losing and sending them to the SB.

Yay!

New Orleans and Seattle own us in big games.  But they aren’t very relevant right now and out of division rivalries fizzle out fast when there isn’t much on the line.

Minnesota has some exceptionally annoying fans and harbors a lot of resentment towards us.  So that’s a pretty good rivalry.

But over the years, the Patriots take the cake.  Everyone hated that dynasty and we played them in 2 SBs.

One of my buddies thought we won't be able to run on San fran because they are the best defense. I told him they've heard that before and lit up every defense before that was the best rush defense

I think that would of been the worse thing that could have happened

We hold them under 20 like Dallas did and we win.

Hopefully A.J. I’ll for those 9s. That’s an element we need. It’s gonna be harder to run against SF. We need our weapons to win on the outside but I like their chances. The key is no turnovers. I don’t like the Shanahan vs Gannon matchup but I like our chance on offense. Purdy hasn’t faced a pass rush like ours. That needs to be the difference

Jeez.  Hurts pays his rent every week while the Cowboys are rent free in the heads of Philly fans everywhere.

They don’t even think of the Eagles as their biggest rival.  There is just no reason to be this concerned with their fortunes.  They haven’t earned that kind of attention.

Yeah, this morning I was all hyped up and just wanted to whoop Dallas and send them home, but the longer the day went on, I realized what a stress case I would be until the game was over. This is much better. F Dallas

The defense better be ready for some physical football. Chill with the sack chasing. LBs need to be ready to hit. Safeties too.

It'll be interesting to see what our offensive gameplan is. You can't really play small ball in the passing game against the Niners since they're so good at tackling and I don't want to see Devonta get killed. Their biggest issue was deeper throws that they're lucky Dak was missing.

Lamb had a great game tonight. The 9ers pass defense is gettable. Adams destroyed them in the Raiders game. Metcalf last week. We have two very good receivers capable of blowing the top off.

Didn't you think the Eagles were in trouble this week?
