Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Im actually excited to see what they dial up for purdy. Shanahan has been putting Brock in really good positions. This game could be a real chess match, very excited.

I think the Eagles will pressure Purdy and if the secondary does a good job covering, the dline should make Purdy look like the rookie he is

I got so fn trashed on Saturday, at midnight I went outside and tied my neighbors recycling can to a tree branch

McCaffrey having a calf injury could be an interesting twist on this weeks game.  He's been such a boost to their O and Purdy

Could be the battle of FG kickers.

Stop the run and McCaffrey, and limit Deboo

Yup.  It’s easy for us to scream at the TV and Gannon when Blankenship gets toasted by the team’s #1 on a crossing route in the middle of the field…but against a team with multiple good weapons…and with two solid corners that very much prefer to be outside…sometimes we are going to get stuck with those matchups.

This is probably the game that would be best to have Maddox back, maybe even more than the two AFC matchups.

Agreed. I think he plays and that will be huge

Kittle and mccaffery will be the biggest threats

bosa will test lane on the injury for sure

this will not be an easy game

You are not wrong. CJGJ negates the impact at the nickel position, but that safety spot takes a hit for sure.

Might be smart to have a rb or te chip Bosa at the line to help Lane. Lane is a fn dawg! Mad props to him playing in that much pain

until he beats lane, leave lane on an island against him

Maybe not as much as you might think - SF runs a ton of 21 personnel, so CGJ can play Safety rather than Nickel - might see a lot true 3-4 this weekend.  If DAL had won, absolutely, as Ceedee has become a menace and Cowboys are better equipped to attack vertically.

even if it means a couple of seasons of 4-13?

Yes. Nothing is a guarantee in this league. Even with the same players next year. The division, the playoffs, getting to the NFCCG. None of that is assured. Right now, it’s a certainty we are playing in the NFCCG with a very realistic chance to win this game, and a realistic chance to beat KC or Cincy. Obviously winning either of the next two games is not a certainty, but the opportunity to win them is in front of us now.

Kittle, CMC, and Deebo attract all the attention, but the player that sneaks up on teams in Aiyuk.

Aiyuk is very good.

Bold prediction i think cincy wins that game in KC. And i think it’s by more than 7 and KC doesn’t score more than 21 points.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of who the best TE/WR combo the Eagles faced this year was.  Ceedee Lamb/Dalton Schultz?   Realistically, there is no way Brock Purdy should beat the Eagles.  Question is, what do the Eagles do to cover Deebo and Kittle?  Is that on CGJ and the LB?  Avonte Maddox being healthy would go a long way.  I don't trust TJ Edwards in space with any of the 49ers weapons.

I think the Eagles need to practice ball control and not let the 49ers offense on the field.  If Mailata can't handle Bosa, don't be afraid to use a TE.  Reduce the impact Hufanga can make.  DO NOT try to run WR screens against this team.  This defense is far too aggressive and their DB tackle very well for that play to work.  I've yet to see the Eagles run any sort of play that would take advantage of a team expecting the WR screen and exploiting the aggressiveness.  Maybe it's time for that.

Overall, I think this is a fairly even matchup but the Eagles are the better team.

The Niners are a deep team and the D especially, well coached.  They aren't a top, top team, but will make you work very hard to beat them; very few McCarthy type brainfarts come from that organisation

I think bosa stays on the defensive left/offensive right, so I don’t think Mailata will face him.

My view is that the Eagles have to force a turnover from Purdy.  He threw a couple of balls that should have been picked.  The Eagles need to capitalize on any mistakes he makes.
