Jalen, objectivity, can now read a defense, make timing throws and is accurate with the deep ball.

When Jalen replaced Wentz, I liked what I saw in his ball placement. I even commented that finally we had a QB leading receivers.  I think we need to recognize some of the things the Eagles have done to give him more time to read the D before the snap.  It started out with the Eagles habit of having the ball carrier hand the ball to the official. (Now maybe it’s because as an Oilers fan, I would watch the Tyler Rose score and hand the ball to the official), but that helps with the rhythm of the game.  Shane and Nick are much better at getting the play in early.  They aren’t breaking the huddle with 10 seconds on the play clock anymore.  Plus they are strategically using motion much better.

I was bemused by the QB talk today, because there is no I in team.  Jalen and Mahommes have great OLs.  Look at how much better Goff was with a decent OL this year.  Great receivers help Burrows, Jalen, Tua and Lawrence. All the QBs listed and discussed are aided in their ability by others.  For some it is coaches.  For some it is lines, receivers, RBs, TEs in their supporting cast.  For some it is the help the D and STs give in field position. No QB does it alone.  (Although it is comical that the last play formation for the cowpads last night suggested something different.)

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I think a play that has helped a lot that they use quite a bit is where they drop one of the tackles inside post snap and have one if the guards pull around to block the edge.

The post snap motion looks like a trap play and forces the outside rusher to hesitate and keep his run gap responsibility allowing hurts more time in the pocket

The 2nd play that went for 40 to devonte Smith Mailata dropped to the inside and Seumalo pulled around to block the edge which had froze like a deer in the headlights

The eagles seem to do it when they are trying to set up a deep shot as it allows the extra time needed to attempt a shot.

Great stuff by Southland, not sure how many if any other teams do this with their OL?

The issue is, the current action isn't even close to a 50/50 split. It's pouring in on -2.5 at a 75/25 clip. I would've thought an opening number like -4 would've been closer for an even split, but they opened much lower.

Then the line will move - if I was going to guess most of the betting is done causally closer to gameday. I’m just saying that Vegas is more interested in providing a line that matches/balances public expectations more than accuracy.

I tend to think bengals are super underrated. And if eagles have CJGJ not getting hurt he’s likely also an all pro. I’d still take the eagles over niners. Niners probably should be ahead of the bengals.

I would put CJGJ with the cornerbacks right now since he is going to mainly play the slot. As an aside, he hasn't had any issues with opponents like he has had in the past. I wonder if this is a sign of maturity or more a sign that he isn't getting $15 million a year if he keeps getting into brawls.

I agree with everything you wrote, but the line for the Giants game closed at 8 at most books with most of the action on the Giants. Very uncharacteristic for a divisional round playoff game. We'll see what happens here, but I'm skeptical that we'll ever cross -3 or 70% of the handle by kickoff.

Apparently the crew that is calling NFCCG is the same one that called NYG/WAS part 2. Where the blatant PI wasn't called and where mclauren (?) supposedly asked the judge if he legal only to be flagged for illegal formation.

Playoffs are different crews. Only the head referee will be the same.

Green or white?

Green. I think I only ever owned 1 white jersey, and now I can't remember who it was. I'm thinking Watters or Mamula.

Yeah if we move CJGJ to slot and assume maddox is out this weekend then definitely different order. Definitely then niners and bengals as 1-2 imo.

Im hoping it’s maturity. If you pay him have to hope he matured and not revert to what you alluded to in his past once he got paid. I also think the saints really allowed a lot of their players to run their mouths publicly in recent years. Under sirianni and leadership the eagles have in that locker room i think has helped.

That might create an issue with our AdSense account. I know thats what has still prohibited nudes from being posted in the mod5 boobs thread.

Itll get our adsense account cancelled.

I suspect maybe some curse words may do the same?

If not, I guess we can do away with filters.

Some other people might get in to trouble with work filters though too...

Mods eased up on some when we first moved over, and for a 10 minute span I could post "sheet” and a few others. I don’t think it would be a hard fix for the words. Nudity obviously is a different story and I’d prefer to not have dong pics posted if someone wants to troll.

I think it is a sign that he is having fun.

Lol, I actually don't drink, but I was the other guy in the green jersey in the parking lot.

Ncaa tournament is gonna be nuts this year. I think Alabama had the best team in the country but i have a feeling the final four might be like 1 one seed and then 3 other teams that no one really expected. College basketball this year has been pretty wild

What if Teddy Bridgewater didn't get injured before the 2016 season? 🤔

This is an interesting topic for a What if...?  for the offseason.  Not sure if days before the Eagles play in the NFC CG is the right time to delve into this though.

Look at Iggles_Phan.  Reaches "Collaborator" status and is now telling us what we can and cannot "delve into".

First amendment, buddy!

Of the last 4 teams remaining how would you rank each position of the four

Qb: 1. Chiefs 2. Bengals 3. Eagles 4. Niners

i have bengals ahead cause there’s a chance burrow makes his second consecutive SB.

RB: 1. Niners 2. Eagles 3. Bengals 4. Chiefs

i think there’s a case to flip flop 2 and 3. I think it’s close. I’d give the edge to the eagles cause gainwell has come on lately

Wr: 1. bengals 2. Eagles 3. Niners 4. Chiefs

i think bengals ahead of the eagles cause chase is the best WR of any of deebo, brown and smith. Plus they have Higgins and Boyd. I’d take smith and brown over deebo and aiyuk. Although both are great. I do think niners have Jennings who on another team gets more targets and yards

OL: 1. Eagles 2. Chiefs 3. Niners 4. Bengals

DL/pass rushers: 1. Eagles 2. Niners 3. Chiefs 4. Bengals

LB: 1. Niners 2. Bengals 3. Eagles 4. Chiefs

CB: 1. Eagles 2. Bengals 3. Niners 4. Chiefs

S: 1. niners 2. Bengals 3. eagles  4. Chiefs

Edited this as CJGJ right now is playing in the slot majority wise with maddox out. Healthy maddox i think eagles are higher

k: 1. Niners 2. Eagles 3. Bengals 4. Chiefs

harrison butker hasn’t been nearly as good this year as in years past. I put Gould ahead of elliott cause he’s been ridiculously good throughout his career in the playoffs (29-29 on FGs and 38-38 in extra points)

P:  1. Chiefs 2. Bengals 3. Eagles 4. SF

If it’s kerns and not siposs i actually think eagles are worse.

Hard to argue with this but I am not sure on safety

I didn't tell you that you could or couldn't.  I just observed that now might not be the best time.   Have at it.  I look forward to the discussion.  :pizza:
