Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

That's a lot of Defensive HC's for a cycle.

My friend asked me earlier if I would consider this season a success if they don't finish with a Super Bowl win. I think the clear and reasonable answer is absolutely. The biggest thing I wanted to see this season is if Hurts can prove that he should be the long-term starting QB for this team and I think we all got our answer to that. Sirianni also took great steps as a coach and the young nucleus on this team is in a very good spot. I also think the NFC is extremely gettable these next few seasons with the Eagles being the top dog in that conference. They don't have to go through Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, etc in the AFC. San Fran will remain their biggest threat in the NFC moving forward.

But then there's part of me that thinks this season went way too well for them to not finish with a Super Bowl. They were very lucky with injuries not being long-term/season ending in the regular season which probably won't happen again next season. They might have all 22 of their starters playing this Sunday if Maddox goes which is pretty much unheard of this deep into the season. This might be the last run with BG, Kelce, Cox, and who knows what Lane decides to do with another offseason surgery pending. As much as I want it to happen, I don't think the window will be as wide open as it is this season in the future. It really set up perfectly for them this year with the moves Roseman made in the offseason and the growth we've seen from some key pieces. So in that regard, if they aren't able to win it all I do think it would be a failure or at the least a disappointment.

Interesting punting note from Sirianni's PC.

Siposs is apparently kicking and doing things on his own but obviously not at practice.

We got ourselves a full blown punter controversy

It would be a disappointment; not a failure.

A team having two home playoff games to reach the Super Bowl should have a really good shot at getting to the Super Bowl.  Losing to the Giants would have been a failure.  I expect the NFCCG to be very close but I'm optimistic the Eagles will win.

The Super Bowl itself will be a toss-up no matter which of the 4 teams meet, IMO.  When your QB plays well you have a real shot.  When they crap the bed like Jaworski did, you end up losing to an inferior wildcard team.

I think I'd consider it a failure simply because the team is setup so well that they certainly have the ability to win it

Hurts was definitely a success

Not everyone.  Just a select few.  You should have realized that by now.  Just a heads up, if in bad enough shape to look for advice in here, you’re not the source I go to.

I don't get it

Looks like the entire Bengals team has intangibles

Like the Frank Reich signing by the Panthers.

Think they might turn that thing around pretty quickly. I mean that division is ripe for the taking.

Not sure Darnold is the answer at QB. Maybe someone like Derrick Carr could be in the mix.

Man, between him and Gannon likely getting hired, how many of our assistants will get poached?

Nick Wright is a nerdy POS. He picks against Philly every single time and must love being wrong.

Seems like we are keeping Steichen but probably losing Johnson now. I could see Patullo going somewhere to possible for an OC role. Then probably more lower level guys.

Unforced error.  Should have just said that Moore is currently interviewing for head coaching opportunities and the organization would wait until that process is played out.  Or, just lie and say "yes" -- then if he's fired write it off as a "fluid situation"
