Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Gotta give credit to Goedert.  I'm sure he's been massaging that foot/toe every night helping it heal.

Do you mean Mount Holly or somewhere out in Western Pennsylvania?

I have trouble understanding these takes. The Niners struggled to score 19 against Dallas's defense while at home, but they're going to light us up for 27? I believe you got our score correct, but don't see the Niners putting up that many points.

Eagles 31 - Niners 17

I think the key to this game will be patience. Use the first half to set up the second half.

Eagles have one huge edge, depth on the DL. Run at Bosa, make him work physically (if they put him over Mailata, let the big boy run him over a few times), don't try to run outside and let the LBs run to the ball, run left behind Mailata and Dickerson, let Kelce get to the second level and torment Warner and wear them down. And that will set up play action as well as slow Bosa down a little, and he's basically their pass rush.

The rest of their DL?  Armstead at DT is solid when healthy but dinged up this season, like Givens, quick but undersized. Kinllaw is a big body, not much else. Ebukam is a decent 3-4 LB/DE who'll struggle with Lane. Willis, McGill are JAGs. Omenihu can bring some pass rush off the bench.

Basically, the front seven is Bosa, Warner and Greenlaw. The other DL feed off man to man matchups created by double teams on Bosa.

How good is Bosa, 18.5 sacks, rest of DL 18.5, TFL 19, rest of DL 31. QB hits 48, rest of DL 56.

But it also means if they can slow down Bosa, there's no one else good enough to carry their defense.

100% incorrect.  You do not let a good team stay close.  You come out guns blazing and bury them as soon as you can.

Agreed....playing with the lead will be important.

Yeah. Get the lead, and make Purdy play from behind. The more Purdy has to throw it, the better off we should be.

I expect the Niners to come out blitz heavy early.... to try and create some momentum and kill the crowd.

I expect Siri and Shane to be fully prepared for that, and to make them pay early.....

I don’t. They blitz less than the Eagles do.

It'll be awesome to have him back for the first three drives before he's hobbled again.

Yep. They don’t blitz a lot, but they’re great at it.

I'm sure they'll pick their spots, but they won't want to leave those corners out on an island with these WRs very often.

It'll be interesting how they play Hurts. Are they going to spy him and take some of their best players away or are they going to hope their DL can hold up on their own.

I think we win either way? We have the flexibility to overcome any look they throw at us, it'll just depend on Steichen to adjust to what they're showing us. This is my biggest ? mark coming into this game is how Steichen and Gannon will hold up.

They can be had over the top and we have enough to hurt them over the middle. If they want to take another person out of coverage, let them.

We're a better team than Dallas. We have a better offense. If Dak wasn't garbage and the rest of the team didn't choke...they probably could've won that game by two scores.

Im not saying it'll be easy, but I am confident.

Start greasing those poles in Philly .

Random thoughts on the game…

* I’m getting more and more confident as this game grows. It feels like we don’t have the scheme edge, but we have the talent edge, home field and a coach who won’t turtle in key spots.

* We’re going to the Super Bowl.

I feel this way too. It's an uneasy feeling.

It's the way it should be when you're good....the AR / McNabb days caused this fanbase to be way too scared of every big game.

You’re probably right. I’m downright petrified.

I thought 2017 was therapy enough but clearly not.

This is a good assessment.  For me, the biggest key to the game is the part I bolded … Kelce vs. Warner

Yup. I was watching Mufanga highlights from the year and the timing he had was incredible. One play he tackled the RB as he got the handoff.

@LeanMeanGM it worked for me last week so why not roll with it again … Eagles 38 Niners 7. Bonus:  Eagles win the deep balls on both Offense and Defense

This could be the game to loft a couple deep rainbows to Watkins.
