You have to look at the current roster, Eagles aren't drafting starters or even guys who'll compete to start at this point in the draft.

So they're going for guys who can provide depth but have upside potential for 2024.

Steen's short arms makes him more suitable for RG, but he's not beating out Jurgens, who would start for the majority of NFL teams at center right now, but will play RG for a year b/c Kelce wants his last go round. So he trains at RG/RT, and moves into RG next season unless someone beats him out. Now they have Toth, Driscoll, Steen, Opeta,

Brown is supposedly a top ST player, so he'll dress as a rookie. He's unlikely to play ahead of Edmunds or Blankenship as a rookie, but will get a year to learn the ropes.

That Georgia vs. Bama when they play should be fun in the locker room. meanwhile aj brown is like go ole miss and basically had to do this to himself image.png.aae63af8b0f249b370b29b3e91e7ea13.png

I’d be willing to bet Brown winds up starting. He brings elements that Edmunds and Blankenship can’t. He’s a rangy ballhawk.

Yep, I was hoping for him.

I don't think so. He needs to become a better route runner. As of right now he's a one trick pony

Speak for yourself. I’ve been clamoring for Brown for a while. Ask around. And Steen is an extremely athletic G/T. In Stout I trust.

Brown could be a day 1 starter.

Don’t know hat the DRaftKings odds were for back to back picks being Tennessee WRs but damn must have been great odds

I like Steen, just a bit early for him I thought. Brown, eh, I need more convincing.

@D-Shiznit Could you create threads for the 2 new picks? Bit of continuity would be greatly appreciated

Thank God there are other sane people here. Brown was my biggest day 2 want and Howie came through. As far as Steen, I don’t pretend to know OL better than Stout.

There were 2 guys I was interested in as a safety: Brown and Ringo.

Brown is clearly the more polished player. Ringo would need a lot of work.

We needed a starter, so Brown makes a ton of sense. He’s a hard nosed guy with great athleticism and fantastic playmaking skills.

Clean up his tackling and he has pro bowl potential.

Don't know much about Brown but a DB named Sydney concerns me 🙂

Multiple people have been clamoring for Brown on this board for the last couple of months. He will probably be a starter sooner or later as a rookie. Seems like a great pick.

When are they going to announce Henry to the Eagles? Thought it was a done deal

I think Brown is the starter by the end of 2023, possibly from week 1.

He’s really, really good.

Sydney Brown is a nice player

He’s so quick and has such burst.  Takes good angles and has good instincts.

Not sure if it's the #30, the skin tone or having hair out the back of his helmet, but Sydney Brown reminds me of JR Reed before he messed his leg up jumping the fence.  He threw his body around and was so fun to watch before that.
