Before I ingest these substances, what am I looking for when watching the Woodstock documentary.

Can you describe what you were wearing? I'm gonna pause it when that song comes on.

Under the radar worry about Ty Zentner is field goal holding skills.  He didn't have to do that in college since he was both the kicker and punter in college.  He's gotta learn that this summer and that is an artform of itself.

After us, I think Pitt then Indy had the best overall draft. It all hinges on Richardson becoming the guy, but the rest of their picks are all really solid.

Richardson makes the draft an F...hindsight can change that obviously.

there were a lot of fast, high ras lbs in this draft.  there will be udfa lbs with great numbers for 5 years ago.   lbs would often have 4.6 40s,  now there are udfas with 4.45 40s. they could all suck.  Maybe taking high ras high school running backs and turning them into LBs doesn't work great in all cases.   I would think that rb in hs to lb in college to not quite good enough for the NFL should lead to a path to getting 230 pound rbs who run 4.45 40s again.

I was just going "where did that guy end up"?   Turns out it was the Eagles who signed Ben VanSumeren udfa. excellent.  If he's not good enough to play LB,  they could try him on offense.   and special teams.

He's a udfa, not a first round pick,  so if you used him on offense it wouldn't deplete a known resource elsewhere.  Now I'm going to find video.  here it is, starts with a TD run for Michigan.

Omfg he’s a UDFA LB. He most likely won’t even make the team. But if he does it’ll be as a ST/3rd string guy. You truly think a kid who is going to have to bust his ass to be the best possible LB and ST player he can be for even the smidgeon of a chance to make the team is going to have the time or mental capacity to then try and convert to offense?

If you look back far enough at almost any player drafted or UDFA, they all played some different positions in pop Warner, HS, etc. This does not mean they CAN or SHOULD do so at the pro level.

Go get funding and start your own National Bi League where everyone is required to play two ways so I can buy your equipment and other assets at pennies on the dollar when it flops 3 months later. I’ll do that just so I can take a video of myself setting them on fire and then urinating on them to douse the flames while gleefully shouting versatile freakbeast and post it here.

Just getting back from a gig playing to a plethora of drunk divorcees.

I'm posting so obviously didn't get lucky tonight.

Checking the UDFA list for the first time. Thrilled to get Haselwood, Ricks, and Garner.

Between Jobe, Goodrich, Ricks, and Garner, one of those will be a future impact player.

Haselwood is Pascal 2.0. Helluva blocker.

If you couldn’t get laid in a room full of drunk divorcees when you play in a band, you really need to work on your game.

Rutgers Punter Adam Korsak still unsigned

I think they made their choice at punter with Zentner. I don’t see them bringing in another UDFA.

Again, better to bring in guys with the athletic tools to be great if you can coach them up than to bring in guys with mental traits who will never have the physical qualities necessary.

And we need STs players

For years, many of us have pondered the philosophical question, "Who let the dogs out? Who? Who?”

We now have the answer to that question…

Jordan Davis, Defensive Tackle
Nakobe Dean, Linebacker
Jalen Carter, Defensive Tackle
Nolan Smith, Edge Rusher
Kelee Ringo, Cornerback
D’andre Swift, Running Back

It was Howie. Howie Roseman let the dogs out.

I would have no problem with three punters competing in Training Camp

So going into next year’s draft the obvious is needs are going to be OT and CB especially since Steen is a better guard prospect while Ringo may end up at safety

And TE and probably LB

What I'd like out of this draft, based on the talent distribution:

1. Elite CB prospect without flaws, specifically a coverage guy.

2. Hyper athletic DL.  OK to be a bit raw, could be edge, could be DT.

3. High upside mold of clay for Stoutland.

4. Highly elusive RB that can be used in screens and passing game.

Get those 4 things and the draft is a huge success.

Bonus options, but better be high value:

1. Safety who excels in coverage.

2. Do it all RB.

3. Another CB prospect who projects well in coverage.

Worth a look back …

What happened to Davis from TCU?

Me neither. Just would be surprised with another UDFA. Maybe a veteran cast off could come in.

Drafted by the Chargers. A few teams had mini versions of our UGA draft. The Chargers took Johnston, Davis, and Duggan from TCU.

Counterpoint.

maybe if he could run in, catch or throw a GD touchdown he wouldn’t be undrafted!

I find it very interesting that Levis ended up being drafted by the Titans after the Colts passed on him at #4.  This will be an interesting test of what’s better for QB development.  Richardson will be starting very early in 2023 if not Week 1 — Irsay has already said he needs to learn on the field.  Levis, meanwhile, will likely develop for one year behind Tannehill, then take over as starting QB in 2024 unless he crashes out.

Jacksonville will likely win that division in 2023, but they don’t strike me as a New England, Kansas City, or Green Bay ‘win the division every year’ type of franchise.  Houston still has at least 2-3 years to go before they can seriously compete.  To me, that means either the Colts or Titans will be winning that division and playing playoff games within a couple of years — 3 at the outside.

If the Titans with Levis win the division and reach the playoffs while the Colts remain languishing, surely Chris Ballard HAS to be fired.  He’s risking his job on a project QB IMO.

He’s risking his job on Shane Steichen being able to get a B+ to an A on that project too.

In my defense, with the amount of time sporting wood from this draft, there wasn't much left in the tank.

I hear you there brother. Had to run errands today, so I just hung my umbrella off mine when I was entering a store. Truthfully it was convenient as hell.

Can make the argument for running back too as swift is a FA at the end of the year. Scott is a FA at the end of the year. Penny is a FA at the end of the year and gainwell would be heading into the final year of his contract

I’ve been traveling and haven’t been able to watch any of the draft, but Howie and the FO really did a nice job.

While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Carters character, listening to Howie and Nick push back on Roobs stupid comment so hard and the support system they will have has changed my mind. Hard to believe Nolan Smith was sitting there at 30. They knocked it out of the park on the 1st day.

Steen and Brown are very nice pickups on the 2nd day. Really like Brown and trust in Stoutland on Steen. Really needed some more depth on the OL and I think Safety was one of the positions of need heading into the draft and thankfully the board fell their way.

Ringo in the 4th could be a steal. I guess there were some character concerns there, but the DB room has some nice vets in there. McKee is the only pick I’m confused about. Not that he’s a QB, but they type of QB he is. Almost the exact opposite of Hurts. So do have some concerns with what the offense is going to look like if McKee has to play. I did look a bit into Ojomo pre-draft and from my understanding is that he’s good but very one dimensional. Hopefully they coaching staff can bring more of his talents out.

Overall great draft, can’t complain much when the most questionable pick is a 6th rounder. I’m sure the fire Howie banners will be hidden away until at least after week 1. Also loved the swift signing. Had him in fantasy and, when he was healthy he carried my team most weeks. Hopefully between Penny and Swift one of them can carry the load every other week.

I have to make time to watch that movie again; parts of it are excellent.

Someone also reminded me of Stir Crazy, too.  Been many years since I’ve watched that one.  Gene Wilder couldn’t even keep a straight face around Richard Pryor:
