There’s a new leader for the most-watched Super Bowl of all time — at least according to Fox Sports.

On Tuesday, the network said Super Bowl LVII that aired on Feb. 12, drew an average audience of 115.1 million viewers across Fox, Fox Deportes and digital streaming, according to updated numbers from Nielsen Media Research

I saw somewhere it is the most rewatched Super Bowl in history too. I find that hard to believe because I still haven’t even looked at the box score, let alone watched highlights or a full replay.

Hell, I stayed away from all things NFL until the draft.

I’ve watched it twice. I’m able to process losses way better than when i was younger. It still kills me when i see that fumble. It’s hard to win a SB. It’s hard to beat mahomes and the chiefs. giving their defense 7 points usually results in a loss due to how prolific their offense is. Don’t get me wrong special teams and defense were lousy. Defense i thought would be an issue going into that game cause i didn’t trust Gannon and his defense against good QBs. So watching it isn’t nearly as surprising to me. ST being bad also not super surprising. Been up and down all year.

that fumble the way it happened is something i really didn’t expect at all with how great hurts had been with the football. But knowing hurts that fumble likely motivates him to be even better.

Typical response who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. Forget for a second that they reached badly on the two first round players they draft, and make no mistake about it they reached BADLY. In today's NFL the value of drafting a RB and off ball LB that early in the draft just isn't there. I absolutely love when people do stupid crap though and then try to talk their way through that stupid crap by acting like they are just smarter than everyone else. Sadly this guy has zero common sense.

Yea, I knew going in it wasn’t going to be easy and people in general were taking the Chiefs way too lightly. Everything about that game is just so annoying. We started hot and the AJ Brown TD was a thing of beauty. Then the fumble is annoying. The overturned catch is annoying. Being the second team ever to lead at halftime by double digits to lose is annoying. The Siposs punt is annoying. The flag and knowing the game is over with two minutes left is annoying.

I’ll watch it again eventually when I’m feeling in too good of a mood. It makes 52 so much more important because I can’t imagine losing two Super Bowls in 5 years playing that damn good in both.

Gibbs had 2 carries for 1 yard, so that wasn't the solution.

Trading Scott leaves no deadcap. Cutting him saves $1.08M.

Cutting Street saves $780k but leaves behind $500k in dead money.

I’m on my phone and need to crash so I’m not doing this exercise (now), but if you want to get the net effect on the cap:

(Scott + Street) - (Davion Taylor + Ian Book + $500k dead)

I can deal with the rest of the SB stuff.

Gannon is Aesop's scorpion, we knew he would sting us.

The Hurts fumble (countered by one of the best SB performances in history)

The Quez epic fail (he literally dropped the ball)

Even the turf while horrific its somewhat slightly understandable.

The fact that the Smith catch was a catch in every single frame and the refs decided to invent a reason to not make it a catch is maddening. Its point shaving by referee. The 2007 Patriots are 19-0 if the Smith catch is not a catch because it was 2 hands to 1 hand and a helmet to 2 hands. Is a helmet catch now not a catch? He never lost possession of the ball. He just changed the form of possession.

Penny, Swift and Gainwell will all dress. No way in hell Penny is inactive. Scott and Sermon are battling to make the 53.

Can Covey return kickoffs?

Covey did in 2022.  Scott was a little better at it.

Take a look at the resumes of the new players for KR.

They tried to say the firefighters were slow to arrive and didn’t do a good job as to why he dog and woman died. We can call it that it happens in the law as they but they damn well knew he was recorded going 156 mph besides being was intoxicated as well as putting his gf life at risk with a gun int he freaking car. And he previously was said to have been reckless driving. There was no way they were avoiding him being at fault and yet still wanted to put onus on the fire department for being "slow”. Again can say good job by the lawyer but it’s BS regardless of how fast they got there and put that fire out that girl and her dog were  going to die due to his actions that not and not learning from previous recklessness driving that car (link below)

So we want to make excuse he is 21 and we all make bad decisions and most of us just don’t get caught for it? there’s millions of 21 year olds that are smart enough to get an Uber and Lyft who don’t have the resources ruggs did at his disposal. Plenty of kids nowadays not risking DUIs thanks to Uber and Lyfts. One of the best apps to come in this era that’s helped avoid more duis. Furthermore ruggs had the money to avoid it and the raiders have a car service added on into. More so than the rest of the 21 year olds in this world, he had multiple avenues they don’t usually have to avoid it So this " he was 21 we all make mistakes that we usually don’t get caught for” there’s a lot of 21 year olds with less avenues than he has/had at his disposal to avoid this situation

i don’t care if he thought he could or if everyone else does it but makes it home. He didn’t and he decided to go 156mph while intoxicated. And there’s been reports he Was this reckless before this dui (https://nypost.com/2021/11/05/video-shows-henry-ruggs-iii-laughing-while-speeding-year-before-deadly-dui-crash/amp/). So the fact this happened isn’t a surprise. Like i said have friends in Vegas that said there’s a bunch of stuff swept under the rug with guys on that team that’ll never hit the light of day cause it wasn’t this catastrophic

what good does it do? Go talk to the family and friends that are out of their child or friend for the rest of their life and explain to them how 3 years is fitting for the punishment due to taxpayers not wanting to spend the money to keep him in prison for basically killing their daughter/friend. They never get yo see their daughter and dog again. They are never coming back. So why should in 3 years should he be let out because he decided to accept a plea and it won’t cost taxpayers money? I’m telling you right now having had this happen to a close friend, if you tell those friends and family don’t keep him on longer than just 3 years cause it saves the taxpayers money they are gonna be infuriated that is how you got to that punishment

If you want me to be honest, I’m not sure if he learned his lesson or not. He was reckless driving previously before this DUI crash and is avoiding that felony reckless charge. i dont want to find out in 3 years that he didn’t and have another horrific story. Vick was able to turn his life around for the better. However not everyone is like Vick. It’s why I’d give him a more harsh punishment so i feel more comfortable knowing he probably learned his lesson.

So we differ.  I read that for you, incarceration must punish, for me, the goal is deterrence and rehabilitation.  I see no value in a longer, "harsher” (your terminology) sentence.  We’lol just have to disagree on this one.

Ruggs was on the hook for a maximum 50-year prison sentence ‘when’ convicted on all counts.  I really hope the judge acts on behalf of the victim and her family on this one and gives the 10-year sentence.  Heaven knows he deserves it, and I haven’t seen nor heard an ounce of remorse from him.

The gf should be doing some prison time herself; she can count herself lucky prosecutors didn’t pursue a case against her as well

No one in this country has ever been overcharged to encourage taking a plea deal.   What the F did the GF do to deserve a prison sentence?

Being a human POS should warrant a prison sentence.

The chemistry is going to be off the chain.

Nolan is so f'in likeable.

As much as we’ve dwelled on that fumble and replayed it in our minds, Jalen has done it way way more. I think that play haunts him and drives him to take even another step forward.

Yeah he is. Loved him as a player, but his interviews and such with our media the last week have made me an even bigger fan. He’s gonna be the fun loudmouth of our defense like BG.

Leonard Floyd probably too expensive, but available.

Goodell would be an idiot for making the Division champ go on the road against the Super Bowl winner to start the season.  I think the Bengals but if they go NFC, the Lions would be an interesting choice.

Over the last 10 years, a Division Champ has had to play the SB Champ on the road quite a lot:

2013: Ravens

2014: Packers

2015: Steelers

2016: Panthers

2017: Chiefs

2020: Texans

2022: Bills

All were division champs the previous year
