1058 rushing yards in 2019 for Middle Tennessee State with a 143.2 passer rating.

937 rushing yards, 19 rushing tds in 2022 for Sacramento State with a 172.5 passer rating, a 73.0 completion percentage, 11 passing tds, 0 ints.

Sacramento State had a regular season record of 11-0, won a playoff
game, first playoff win in school history, lost a playoff game, finished 12-1.

But. No Pro Day numbers.

How fast is he?  Fast enough to run for over 1000 yards in a year as a QB in Quez Watkins conference, Conference USA.  But there aren't specific 40 times, 10 splits, shuttle and 3 cone, broad and vert jumps.

We're at the tryout for camp stage right now.  Right after the draft udfas are signed, and there are some left after that, and there are tryouts for camp at this point.

If you see the video you'll notice a lot of jumping for TD, it seems like he has gymnastics or diving skill.  Acrobatic.  The ability to jump over players might be useful in special teams,   blocking kicks or punts, or edge rushing, or goal line versatile back.  If the NFL added a test for how far you can dive head first from a running start,  that test could measure acrobatic. O'Hara dives ahead 5 yards regularly.

I think when you add 1K+ rushing yards in a year, 2019, and 12-1 plus 172.5 passer rating in a different year, 2022, that should be enough to get a camp invite. 1000+ rushing yards for a QB is pretty rare, it's not like 10 do that in a year.

Indirect question, did you think Bryce Young was the best QB prospect in this draft? And if not, why

I mean, he did that in 2022, off an injury, being the focal point of every offense he faced. Those are historic numbers.

He doesn't need to have A+ character to hit. He just needs to have average character to be a pro bowler.

AFC North will be an interesting division this season.  Going by talent it should be CIN, BAL, CLE, and the Steelers last -- but that assumes Deshaun Watson will be able to return to being a top 10-15 QB.  If he doesn't, Browns fans can brace for a return to the basement.

When it comes to a guy like Swift, I go back to his college highlights too because of the team he was on in Detroit.  We're going to see the best Swift the NFL ahs seen yet with him playing behind this OL and the offense with Hurts. I admit, I'm biased towards him because he was one of my guys in that draft.  Loved watching him in college.  He has LeSean McCoy moves.  Absolutely can't wait to see what he can do here.

Never really seen much tape of him in college. Guy is a beast, with a real ability to make guys miss and look stupid.

You should really think about opening your own little section of the board, like call it the The Freakbeast Cage or something.

 I liked Rambo as a prospect but let’s keep it real. He didn’t make the Panthers last year and wound up going to the XFL. This is a camp invite. He’s REALLY going to have to impress to make this roster. I think realistically Jadon Haselwood has a much better shot.

The locks are Brown and Smith. After them, I’d say the "most likely’s” are Quez and Zaccheus.

I can’t see them keeping 4 RBs, 6 WRs, and 3 TEs. I’d say 5 WRs is most likely. So you have:

Britain Covey

Devon Allen

Tyree Cleveland

Jadon Haselwood

Joseph Ngata

Charleston Rambo

Greg Ward

Garrett Maag

all competing for most likely 1 spot on the 53 and a couple PS spots. Covey and Allen probably have the leg up due to their potential return skills even though I don’t think they’re what the Eagles need.

The Eagles are missing size. Zaccheus or Quez having to fill in as an X is scary as hell to me. Haselwood and Cleveland are 6’2”, Ngata is 6’3”, and Maag is 6’4”. But let’s be real, these guys are not heralded prospects.

I’m really interested to see who shakes loose from other teams. Right now your starters should be Brown and Smith on the outside with Zaccheus as the primary slot guy when they’re in 11 personnel. Quez is your deep threat. But they need that Pascal who can function as a #4 with run game blocking skills and who can fill in on the outside when needed.

Other than the safety position overall, I think the WR depth chart is the position battle I’m most looking forward to.

I believe that no WR position or player is locked in after Smith and AJ.

I suspect that Quez is close to a lock on the roster. While he disappointed last season, he has shown a willingness in the past to work to improve.  His and Ward’s presence with Smith at Jalen’s PC was no accident.  I believe they have a relationship with Jalen and put in work with him.  Someone commented that Quez looked more jacked.  I suspect that’s the AJ impact.   I doubt he can improve much on his quickness, but some is possible.  A little more snap in his routes would help.  He can play inside and outside and you can’t teach speed.

Zaccheus was a cheaply signed street FA.  The only thing he is guaranteed is an opportunity on the 90.  Ward is well liked and I suspect has a place on the PS as long as he is willing as basically the emergency WR.  His experience puts him in the mix at #5 but that’s about it.  Allen has a year as a PS signee and Covey, Rambo and Cleveland have experience too but the latter two are already have a JAG label like Ward.

The 4/5 WR and 3/4 RB candidates (just like the backup LBs and DBs) need to offer something on STs.  That hurts Zaccheus and possibly Rambo.  The bigger guys need to be able to play on coverage teams and block or cover gunners.  Somebody(ies) need(s) to return punts and kickoffs, including playing the up man on the latter which Pascal did. Covey and Scott have a leg up on returns at this point. Allen is who I am watching at this point as competition there.

As to blocking the run, we have a 241 lb TE with good hands and 4.62 speed, who was getting blocking experience last year, in Calcaterra.  Not an inline TE at this point and may never be one, but a receiving threat and can block one on one like Pascal did and is more of a receiving threat.  Jackson is a wildcard too.  249 TE wannabe with 4.59 speed.

It feels like this will be a position where they look to add a veteran.  I don't think there's a lot available but Breshad Perriman and Golladay are still on the market and may be more reliable slot receivers.

I don't study film and am probably not qualified to say this but there was nothing about Skoronski's game that made him look like a mauler.  He did not drive o-lineman off of the ball 5 yards downfield.  He used positioning and his feet to make the block.  Maybe as compared to Dillard he's a mauler but I think Dillard looked decent as a Guard and was able to move defenders.

I think it depends a lot on how much money Swift wants; he's in a contract year.  Last year, the Eagles RBBC by workload was:

Sanders -- 259 carries, 26 targets

Scott -- 54 carries, 6 targets

Gainwell -- 53 carries, 29 targets

366 carries from the RBs in 2022.  If I had to take a guess assuming everyone stays healthy and that workload is similar, the carries would be Swift 130, Gainwell 100, Penny 100, Scott 30.  Pass targets will be quite interesting, as both Swift and Gainwell have upside there the others do not.  Maybe the RBs get 100 targets this season -- 40 each for Swift and Gainwell, and 10 each for Penny and Scott (etc.)

Scott has been pretty effective catching the ball when called upon (more by Pederson than Nick).  He has like one drop in his NFL career.  So three RBs that can catch and are pretty swift (couldn’t resist) too.

Hard to get enthused with Scott's 3.0 yards per catch last season.

So easily fixed with technology.  A phone can sense when it is moving (think Google Maps). Just design texting functions so they don’t work while a vehicle is moving. F passengers and mass transit users.

I think the idear of Apple Play is to force people to use dictate functions to text and not their phones.  The problem is that you can still pick up your phone to text while you are driving.

Perriman would be interesting, no thanks on Golladay. Julio still out there if they want a vet. Corey Davis may be a cut I'd be interested in as well.

Six targets. Nick really didn’t incorporate that RBs in the receiving game until later in the season with Gainwell. The first season he used the RB receiving game even less.  That could have been what Shane was calling.  New year, new play caller and OC.  We’re about to see what Johnson adds to the mix with Patullo and Nick.

Interesting 4 years instead of 5 years.
