You think 8 dbs go in round 1? Some very good ones will get pushed 15-31 that would go higher in a year where there wasn't as much talent at the position, IMO

This isn’t about the combine. Watch him play. He’s like glue on WRs. Plays NFL style coverage where he isn’t just man handling WRs which would draw PI.

The combine is just cementing that what he’s shown in college can translate athletically to the NFL.

I see it the opposite way. This isn’t a good top of the draft, and CB is the deepest position. Teams will snap them up because good corners are hard to find.

First round I expect 5-7 CBs. Banks will probably be the 3rd or 4th off the board.

While no one here other than @Original Sin reallye ever talked about him before today, he has been a borderline 1st rounder in mocks for a while now. 

I think a lot of people think he was some unknown who is suddenly overhyped.

Rather, he already had some chops. Now he just boosted his stock. Not so crazy....

I talked about him before today. In fact several weeks ago I said I would take Banks at 30 even if we took Witherspoon at 10, because I was that high on him.

Maybe it’s because I live near College Park, but I’ve seen him play a few games and was always impressed.

Maryland always seems to have some great athletes.

They dont get a lot of hype playing for Maryland. But theres always someone there people should be paying attention to.

Same, I really like Branch. Not sure if he and CGJG makes for the best combo though. They seem a little similar in play style but I would be very tempted to pair them up.

I think they can play together, but it eliminates Maddox from the equation. CJGJ can be more in the middle of the field, with branch either blitzing or in the slot

As is Demus as I mentioned earlier, and beast mentioned their other WR Jarrett. Last year, had Demus entered the draft, he was in conention for a high 1st round pick.

 

It seems like ever since Vernon Davis theyve been able to recruit awesome athletes. A few years after him they had Heyward-Bey. 3 years later came Torey Smith. A few years after him Stefon Diggs, who in typical maryland fashion was criminally underrated. And since him, theyve really taken off to now producing just about every year.

After Diggs came Ngakoue, Then DJ Moore. Then Darnell Savage. Then Anthony McFarland and Antoine Brooks. Im pretty sure they had another RB I liked in the same year as McFarland as well. 

Then came my man Jake Funk and he is still being slept on, even in the NFL. Then Nick Cross and Chig Okonkwo.

This year they have Banks, Duncan, Demus, and Jarrett.

Slowly but surely they are producing more and more.
