We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Reminds me of Doug Martin.

I like that comp to the muscle hampster lol

R Johnson will be a better pro than college player

Lol. This makes Sirianni sound like Joffrey Lannister.

Gibbs or Achane are the two guys at RB I think could actually make a big difference to this team.

Gibbs especially with his receiving ability.

I don’t think Robinson moves the needle much. Yes, he’s a great talent, but his talent is doing everything we can already do better. He doesn’t add any new dimension to the team.

Gibbs and Achane are the guys who can turn what other RBs would get 10 yards on into 50 yard TDs. Gibbs can change what we do on offense in the passing game.

I might even take Gibbs over Robinson if both were available at 30.

Right, but how many more wins does he actually win you? I don’t think many. The run game is already elite even if we put a replacement level player at RB. So what’s the marginal difference? Maybe 10 extra yards per game or something like that?

I think he gives you something special as a receiver out of the back field and you could put him in the slot too, something we don't have and he can take over a game on the ground. In inclement weather you can run through him. Would've came in handy in the Bears game and in the Super Bowl. He could close out games. He would also relieve Hurts from having to run as much as he does. I think he is a special player. I get he's a RB so he automatically gets discounted and probably not where we should go with pick 10.

Eagles met with DTR apparently

If Robinson can pass protect, he certainly can add something we don’t have, and then the extra bit he does with the ball in his hands is worth a late 1. It’s just not worth pick 10.

I don’t see Robinson as a Westbrook or Faulk kind of guy in the slot.

If that’s what you want, take Gibbs. He IS that guy who can line up in the slot and beat corners with WR routes.

Nah johnson and brown are the guys to target

I’m fine with that if we are going bargain hunting.

But if we are using a top 100 pick on a RB, Gibbs and Achane are the only guys I can see adding a dimension to the offense.

You of all people should understand the poor value of a top 100 pick on an rb

I think you’re underrating a bit how much having a guy who can hit the correct hole and routinely can get more than what’s blocked could add to the offense. Sanders was just too inconsistent.

I love Gibbs, I don't know if he's there at 30. Again, even if he is, do we go RB there?

We better not.

Would hope not

I do, which is why I only mention 2 guys I’d look at. Both of whom won’t be first rounders.

Those are the only 2 guys who are going to give the offense an extra dimension. Gibbs especially would add a lot of plays to the playbook. For a 2nd rounder I think it’s worth consideration. He’d cause really big matchup problems in 11 personnel.

Do defenses use 2 LBs and risk having to put one on Gibbs in man to man? Do they go 1 LB and 3 safeties and then have to deal with our run game?

Intriguing possibilities IMO.

From the draft network: In the passing game, Robinson positively affects the game. He is a reliable pass-catcher out of the backfield. Robinson ran every route at Texas, from swing passes to wheel routes 30-plus yards down the field. He was even being motioned out of the backfield to line up at the receiver position. On plays where Robinson is asked to stay in and block, he has shown to be a high-IQ player and knows his responsibility, effectively picking up blitzes and free runners to the quarterback. The combination of receiving skills and pass protection makes Robinson a three-down running back in any offense.

That's my point, I doubt it.

When he is on, he is exciting but way too many WTF throws for my taste. Better runner than one would think.

I see him going in the 20 to 40 range most likely.

I don’t think we’d take him at 30, but if we trade down from 30 and he’s still available, yeah, I think we’d take him.

Are we doing an EMB mock draft this year? @downundermike arranged it all last time

But you can get that in the 4th round.

The only reason to take a RB in the top 100 or so picks, IMO, is if he can significantly add to what you can do on offense.

Gibbs and Achane give you 4.3 speed and the ability to motion them to WR and beat CBs with WR routes.

That adds so much to what we can do tactically it might be worth a high pick.
