Howie is an average drafter, but top 3 in the NFL in trade value and pro-personnel. That's why we're good.

I think I found where the "hate" comes from.  Thats kind of what he was paid for and told his role would be, and he failed in that role.

True. But everyone was pretty high on Quez until this year. He wasn’t terrible but the negative plays he did have were magnified because they happened in such critical parts of close games

Reagor was absolute garbage - and we all knew it.

Oh I’m not arguing that. I’m just saying teams trade for other teams 1st round busts all the time thinking they can tap into the 1st round potential. 6th round picks not so much.

Did I miss the news on Johnson?  He needs to have surgery to repair his core muscle.  The season is over and he could have that surgery already..

One thing I never quite understand: why players delay the necessary surgery in the off season.  The earlier the surgery is done, earlier they can rehab and be ready for the off season training.  By delaying it, it cuts into the off-season works.

Pretty sure he had the surgery the week after the Super Bowl

He was terrible.

He did very little and saved the worst for the biggest moments. That equals terrible.

The Eagles official YouTube page has their Top 10 Jalen Hurts plays from the year.  I think they need to fire whoever put this list together.

Play 9, 4th down QB draw in the SB.  Great play but a top 10 play?  No, especially given the outcome of the game.

Play 8, pass to DeVonta Smith.  Great gain on the play but if he leads Smith it's a TD.

Play 1, TD run against the Vikings. Another great play but hardly his top play from the year.

-Hurts threw some absolute dimes.  His deep ball accuracy was one of the things that impressed me the most when they started to open the offense up.

-As annoying as the 600 lb squat references are every quarter of every game, Hurts lower body strength sets him apart from other running QBs.

-DeVonta Smith is RIDICULOUS.  How wrong I was to hate that pick.  Is he the best player on the team?

-AJ Brown is a bully.  Please don't turn in to a diva.

I wouldn’t say he was terrible but I wouldn’t argue against anyone that says he was. That’s why I also think it’s insane for those that think he has trade value. I was agreeing with a previous poster that said no one is trading for Quez.

You’re right. But he was viewed in a positive light until this season.

Yes a number of pages ago I said Howie would accept a case of Yuengling for Quez and be happy about it

I’m not wrong though.

More dissapointing than terrible.  The problem with Watkins IMO, was:

1. He regressed.  Had drops and fumbles at key moments in big games.

2. He was used wrong in so many games.  Quez is a straight line speed guy, not a quick twitch good in small places guy.  The amount of short yardage passes they threw to him was absurd.

3. He's just not a typical slot guy.  Goes with #2 in that he's good for down field but that's it.  I want a slot/WR3 guy to be able to do it all.

Wasn't saying you're wrong.  That was my welcome to the boards.

I was saying I don’t think he’s as terrible as everyone thinks because his negative plays came in some crucial points in games and caused them to be magnified but he still doesn’t have any trade value.

Someone brought up that the Vikings traded for Reagor but I pointed to where each player was drafted. Teams trade for former 1st rounds busts all the time thinking they can tap into that talent that made them a first round pick. 6th rounders not so much.

The Cowboys are one of the cheapest organizations. It's crazy given how big of a brand they are.

Jerry's habits aren't going to pay for themselves.  And the hush money has to add up too

Thank you. I was on the old board years ago but I can’t even remember what my name was. I have one of VAbeach Super Bowl dvds

When your the 4th receiving option you don't get many opportunities in the first place, so when your number is called you better step up to make the play. Quez was targeted 3 times in the playoffs and made 1 catch for 8 yards. So when the stakes are high, he didn't perform.

He might be a cut candidate or restructure candidate at that pay.

@paco or anyone else who sees this:

I’ve seen multiple times over the years that it is erroneous reporting to say contract restructures actually pay a player a lump sum signing bonus instead of their salary. It does that for the bookkeeping side yes, but the player himself just gets the same games checks.

Do you know of any sources to this off hand? Even a nonverified tweet or anything?

Would definitely have interest in Whitehead if he’s cut.
