3 years gone and were still talking about Wentz

Kinda feels..."abusive" at this point.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Good list

Yeah, I like it as well. Adebawore combined himself into the bottom round 1/top of round 2 discussion for sure.

The Chiefs just lost their RT and downgraded at LT and we have some people sucking them off. It's officially silly season around here.

Kind of expected when your GM gets himself fired for drinking on the job on day 1 of free agency.

Love how Aaron Rodgers is holding up 2 different teams.  If the Jets don't get him what the F are they going to do for QB?

I’d like to venture that CJGJ is going to be disappointed in the S market given these contracts being given out to QBs, lineman, etc. I think we bring him back at more than we’d like and less than he expects.

What does Wentz have to do with anything?

That nobody cried about him getting paid like the usual suspects do with Hurts getting paid.

I believe Rodgers thing is gonna play out for a while now.  If he wanted the Jets that would be a done deal already.  It's clear the Packers want to go in a different direction.

Maybe he's waiting for something that he wants?

The Jets will be better off without Rodgers .... and, are you surprised??  Last year he said he'd make his decision by end of February so that his teammates could plan for their FA.  He dickered around, and Devante Adams left.

I imagine Thursday and Friday he’s probably taking the day off for the ncaa tournament.

Who’s crying about Hurts getting paid?

Been saying this for a week. Jimmy G off the board. If rodgers decides he wants back to Gb then their alternatives is trade for lamar which means picks and giving in to his contract demands. Or draft which they have already failed once with Wilson. They are in a bad spot. It’s why if i were GB I’m asking for a more than ppl think

Both parties being a little disappointed is a sign of a good deal.

Can we change this to Dickersoned?

And what is the point you are trying to make by bringing up Wentz?

hasn't the deal already been agreed upon just waiting for Rodgers to ok it?

That was reported then later denied

I thought I saw that Packers are ready to move on. The delay might be whether he wants to keep playing or retire and go in a cave somewhere and do hallucinogens

That NOBODY cried when Wentz got paid is the point, Hurts has done more so all things considered nobody should be crying. Very simple. If Hurts were let’s say Josh Allen white it would be unanimous that Hurts is worth his market value.

why?

I am thinking you didnt read Howie's explanation of why/how he uses the dead cap to his advantage?

What youre explaining above isnt really how its working.

You could have came to that realization even before Howie gave that explanation if you read more of my posts ;)

Spoiler

So why borrow from the future at all?  If you expect the cap to go up, it can actually make financial sense.  Much like when the mortgage rates drop and money becomes "cheaper", a higher future cap is "cheaper" money.  If the cap is 300 million one year and 320 million the next year, borrowing 30 million from the future year is a smaller % of that years cap vs 30 million of the current cap.  If done in moderation, it is an effective way to build your team.  The trick is balance, making sure you also have cap flexibility for the unexpected whether it be a pandemic or a breakout star that you want to extend.

Pretty comical that the same posters that continually bring up Wentz year over year are the ones typically complaining that we're still talking about him.

ESPN said that it was approved and everyone was waiting on Rodgers this morning. Also that Rodgers said decision coming soon. FWIW.
