I will do so but I don’t think he will return.

Tell him if he doesn't return,  we will take it as a sign that he loves the Master's.

He will return.

Keep getting this feeling Eagles trade up from 10 and trade down from 30. For who I don't know.

Could be gas though.

This has always been to me the more likely scenario than Eagles trading back from 10 and then trading up from 30 or drafting at 30.

I believe Charbonnet and Roschon Johnson are equivalent.  I prefer spending a 5th round pick after a trade rather than a 2nd round pick.

I don’t see it with Johnson.  He’s a physical runner but really choppy and slow.

Who is going to mail a letter to JR to let him know he can come back now?

With everything that I have going on, I was unaware that he left or the reasons or any of that. Or if I was aware, I've completely forgotten now, in which case I'm a little concerned about memory issues

Right now my feeling is Howie trades down and takes Kancey. But we’ll see what rumors and visits shake out over the coming weeks. I know people have been ruling out CB, but given that Howie has been sniffing around that position for the last two drafts and it didn’t shake out for him tells me he’s been considering that a long term need for some time now. And he knows eventually he’s going to need someone to step in for Bradberry and Slay.

‘But they have a Hargrave sized hole at DT right now and I guarantee it’s keeping Howie up at night. He’s obsessed with DT.

Right now and for much of this offseason, I really have no idea what the Eagles might do.  Can’t remember being this unsure in a draft.  Don’t know the defense because the coaches are so new,   Howie’s extensions and signings read Cap more than a defense design. This draft suggests trust the board, listen to offers that favor the team and BPA.  But the biggest hole is RG, not DT (Williams, Davis, Marlon T). Well P too as Sisposs cost them a Lombardi, Future wise CB is accurate too.

For a one year rental? Are you insane?

It would be contingent on a long term deal. Just like the Brown trade.

anyone noticed the PFF mock draft sim now says subscribe to unlock anything past round 2 ?

I think we trade down from 10 (and get more later round picks) and take BPA, probably a DT, then with 30 take Gibbs.

I'd be happy with that. I like the look of Antonio Johnson with pick 62.

Howie taking a DL that we would have preferred 10-15 picks later and not using both first round picks seems like a pretty safe bet.

Why are people so against Lukas Van Ness? I like him a lot as a player. I’d prefer Gonzalez, but Van Ness is a perfectly fine consolation prize

If Simmons becomes available Howie will not be able to resist IMO. Just hope we could get him without #10…something like #30, 2024 2nd and maybe even get a 2023 4th back but will depend on his trade market.

Also will need to figure out how to fit in his extension

Yea, 10 is too rich for Simmons IMO.  You also have to figure in the extension Simmons would get.  Last year, pick 10 got a 4-year $22.5 million contract with a 5th year option.  I'd assume that goes up this year a little but but let's just say it's a 4-year $25 million contract with a 5th year optiion.  With Hurts upcoming extension and multiple key starters coming up to extensions in the next year or two, $22.5 over 4 years is much more friendly than a $20 million/year that Simmons is going to need.

As we've discussed a lot in here, loading up on expensive talent was great during a QBs rookie contract.  Now that they are going to be paying a premium at QB, rookie contracts are going to be so important in helping this team move forward.

My gut says the opposite.  Trade down from 10 and then trade up from 30.  The value of trading down and getting more picks to help build the team will be greater than the player available at 10.  At 30, the Eagles can watch how the board falls and when they notice a player dropping, they use some 2024 ammo to move up and get that player.

White DE bias…

no in all seriousness i think he just isnt a top ten, dynamic kind of player like Wilson is. People love speed around the edge not boring bull rushers.

if you can het him later fine, but there will be better players there at ten

Cuz he’s white and everyone in here is racist

Or one we preferred in the 3rd round (Barnett)

Also i find it much more probable that we can find a de at 30 or beyond than it is we find a cb1.

I look at it from the standpoint they can most likely get him if they trade down a few picks.  Is a guy like Wilson that much better?

Would you rather have Wilson at 10.

-or-

Van Ness and an extra 2nd and maybe a mid-round pick.

I would rather have Van Ness and the extra pick that could be anything from a starting safety to a dynamic RB.

We''ll know more about what the Eagles think of Williams, by what position is drafted high up.  Feel like a big year for him

And this made me laugh

Any idea how many people have been banned since you built the place? Just curious how much nonsense you have to deal with.

I have no idea. More than 1, less than 20,000. But that's just a guess  I don't mod, so I don't know the numbers. I don't even know if I can find out an exact number.

Not all bannings are members who post legit content, though. @Moderator12 keeps an eye on registrations and spammers who join boards for the sole purpose of posting spam and he bug zaps them pretty quickly so that the board isn't filled up with crap like that.

It's hard to say since we lump banned members, spammers and bots all under the "banned" user group.  For example, of the last 25 registrations (1/17/2022-03/26/2023) that were banned:

20: Various Bots (A lot from Russia\eastern Europe the past 2 or so weeks) and spammers

4: Previously banned members (old board and new) trying to register

1: A recently suspended member creating a clone account to post with.

TL;DR:  If I do a count on all the accounts in the Banned group, it will be artificially high.  I would need to go through every single account to determine if it was a primary account that was removed from the board.

If I were to guess, I'd say we are still in the single digits of actual members being banned since the new board has been stood up. (a few months ago, low single digits)  Now that it's not team owned and community driven, the rules have been significantly relaxed compared to when we were under the team's domain and all that is asked it to be reasonably civil amongst each other.

From that pic looks as if the DB was early, not surprising it wasn't called, refs didn't call anything the whole game until the last minute...😒

Never want the " BEST " team to be the one who is better at getting away with stuff, get AI in here asap. Rewarding bad behavior. I got other ideas outside the grid

I don't understand why this concept is so difficult for some. Since we are on an MB in 2023, most of us are probably in our 40s and older. It should not be that hard to be civil even when you disagree with someone. Or if it is too hard, then just ignore them.

I think that's a best case scenario.  Obviously the pro personnel people in the league valued the players we lost and the players we signed very differently

Hoping for an inefficient market, why not

Just indulging the thought of moving Maddox to safety…

* Christian Gonzalez played 100 snaps in the slot for Oregon. If he somehow got to 10, he might be able to play the slot with the potential to move outside in case of injury.

That said, I don’t think the odds of him lasting to 10 are good.

I just can't see us taking a corner at 10, even if gonzalez or witherspoon is there
